Some AB legends in this 1967 test - Meads, Lochore, McCormick, Laidlaw, Tremain etc,. Gotta love the stoic jogging back to halfway after scoring tries. No celebration allowed -

@daffy-jaffy Thanks for bringing back memories of the good old days when scrums were not two minute marathons, centering kicks, rucking, and forwards not getting in the way of (or trying to be) backs, windmill wingers throwing the ball in, toe poke goal kicking, no need to dive for tries, announcers had proper BBC accents, touch judges wore blazers, Bill McLaren with the commentators microphone without the need to saddle him with "help" from about 5 hangers on, and even a Mooloo cowbell can be heard ringing after the first try! Bit early for Bring Back Buck banners though.........................

Nice to see the match was graced by the presence of the Queen, a vastly different position in those days than today's queens! Oh, and one of my first heroes, Fergie McCormick (at least when he wasn't playing for Canterbury that is) played alongside fellow Higgins' Heroes Messrs Tremain, MacRae and Davis.

Some awesome try savers, tough to separate my faves between Ben Smith on Tuilagi, BB on Le Roux and Kaino on Ioane

Great early footage of Caucau. (making Doug Howlett look slow and generally making the other players look like schoolboys). I have never seen a better winger (including Jonah)

I doubt we'll be seeing the 1st game on the All Blacks channel. 😉

I went to the 3rd test at Eden Park.

When asked at my interview with the RAF what was the best moment of your life, it was being in a pub in Cornwall with all my English mates, and many other poms, for the 1995 semi - bliss
