Is Amelia Kerr the most talented young cricket we have seen on the women's game?

Did Bates and Devine show so much at Kerr's age?

    She is sensational

Glad you came in with the curse - I was blaming myself for a while

we are giving away our wickets, just lost too many regularly.

Going to take some bowling and fielding perforamnce to get up from here. Were looking at 270, now 240 is good

Last 6 wickets go down for 30 runs and they've thrown away a dominant position.

Some runs on the board, but they're 30 short of where they should have been.

Most of the NZ lower order offers nothing with the bat.

If we lose this game I think NZ is gone as I don't expect them to beat England.

This was a frustrating performance. Usually got ourselves out by just missing balls, or helping full tosses onto the stumps. But we'd need to really step up for England, and even then it'd be tight.

228 not enough. Very hard to watch.

There is a story behind it.

She won gold in the javelin throw at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Athletics. She was in line to be selected for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, before being involved in a road accident, which left her hospitalised for two months.

@bovidae so never went to the Olympics, let alone got selected?

    I kinda think that's lame.

Maybe not as lame as appealing for a run out when you never touched the ball though...

We're cooked, they're doing it easy.

England game now critical. Even if we win it'll be hard with net run rate

We have no complaints though. Just not good enough outside of a few very good players.
Our bowlers only threaten in patches then throw in some pies. Our fielding has way too many drops to take advantage of the opposition mistakes.
Once our top three bats are gone there is nothing to worry the scoreboard.
    Simply have work to do.

@crucial it's a fun tournament, but everyone has to lift their games. Revenue and exposure will help that.

Still, win Sunday and it's on

Nah... a kiwi lass... can't remember who.
I can kinda buy that some batsmen/batspeople can't tell if the ball nicked the bat, or not. But you can't really get confused whether a recently smacked cricket ball hit/grazed one's fingers.
