Yeah - I suffer "almost intense pressure"
playing shit golf when I occasionally get in the position to beat friends who are slightly better than me. I have largely overcome it by realizing that it matters not a fuck. I couldn't play to win a major - fucking hopeless.I think it's why the ABs have somewhat underperformed at the Rugby World Cup - because a skill-based game is more likely to turn to shit under pressure than a muscle game.

Not everyone waits until they get married! My eldest was 9 months when I married his mother. But yeah, you'd think she'd mention it if it was the reason. It just seems so random and strange at this stage of the season. And she's only 25 as you say.
I reckon she'll be back though.

With the absurd inconsistency of the female players right now, this is really the time for a player like Barty to pile up the Grand Slams. I don't think she's the best or most talented by a long shot, bit she's the most consistent and winning all 4 Slams this year was not out of the question. But if the motivation isn't there (or there's a bun in the oven
) then fair enough. -

Barty said her perspective on life and tennis had changed since she made her comeback and added she was physically “spent”.

“Success for me is knowing that I’ve given absolutely everything, everything I can.
“I’m fulfilled, I’m happy, and I know how much work it takes to bring the best out of yourself.
“I just don’t have that in me anymore. I don’t have the physical drive, the emotional want and everything it takes to challenge yourself at the very top level anymore.
“I am spent. I just know physically I have nothing more to give and that, for me, is success.
“I’ve given absolutely everything I can to this beautiful sport of tennis and I’m really happy with that.
