“Shook the world….” Fuck Wisden is full of absolute shit.

I routinely see catches like that that everytime I play BYC

@mn5 I took Wisden's headline as a riff on Bumble's commentary, which itself was a delighted dig at the impact of Leverock's dive...

or because the earth shook when the fat fluffybunny hit the ground

" The Big Man! The fridge has opened!"

I see Australia get first chance at batting for two days very shortly...

Poor start but geez you can’t keep Australia down these last 30 or so years.

The lowest batting average in that top five is Travis Head with a very fine 41.64. Khawaja doing a Langer and reinventing himself as an opener to great effect. The bowling line up speaking for itself. The only discernible weakness seems to be finding a keeper who can hold a bat.

With Rossco gone and KW broken we sure as hell can’t say the same, they’re looking in much better shape for the test championships it has to be said.

Another slow day for the run rate. Pakistan did pretty well to get 5 in a day, and apparently could have done better with decent hands.

Khawaja gets himself out in the 90s again.

the boredom in Pakistan continues. Australia laboured to 391.

Pakistan have basically crawled to 90/1

    Destined for a draw.

Three draws in a row is not good for getting to the WTC final. I think Aus have to play India away, as well, which will be damn hard.

COuld be some tasty matchups coming towrads the end of the cycle. Barring a miracle, we're screwed with our losses to the Bangles and then SA

I would think 3 away draws would be quite good for Australia. Especially if at expense of one of the other major contenders Pakistan missing out on home wins.

This is said with no particular research done on the maths.

But form memory, based on the draw India, Australia, Pakistan were the teams most likely to get to the final.

Yeah Pakistan are probably screwing themselves by offering up roads. Should have been aiming to win all three with home field advantage.

Cynical me idly wonders if Pakistan and the West Indies are tar sealing their wicket blocks to gently kill interest in Test cricket, and to drive more interest in expanding the Pakistan Super League and the Caribbean Premier League instead...

Great take from Cummins in his follow-through - at 03:50 in this clip.

The carnage starts a minute later as Pakistan lose a pile of wickets. They were 214 for the loss of 2 and finished on 268 from there.

Wow, THAT is a tail end collapse if ever I saw one. Last five couldn’t get double figures between them.

Do Pakistan actually want to win?

They need to up their run rate by a run an over to make it from here. Wickets in hand is good, but at some point they are going to have to be a little more positive. If they only score 85 in the next session they are going to leave a lot to do late.

Meanwhile in the Caribbean, the England 10 & 11 put on nearly half of the total . Wasn’t it just last week that we’re we’re heralding a new dawn for English cricket?
