Rewatched the last two episodes again and the scene that pushes the bullshit needle to absolute critical is Burton killing EIGHT big, tough Nazis in about 10-15 seconds.

I couldn't kill the same amount of rats in that time.

Ridiculous.

Nah.. that aint so bad.

1/ he was in a room full of furniture which would he wasn't getting attacked by all them at once.

2/ He was using weapons and trying to actually kill.

ok.. so clearly very unlikely. But not as bad as some other scenes.

I want to know how so many people in this world are such amazing ninja like fighters and how they all end up in Banshee. They never seem to train.

The fights that are complete bullshit are the ones where some hero fights off (by knocking out) numerous bad guys in a wide open space.
-

Aw fuck yeah....but you can cope with Arnie standing in a field and gunning down multiple people ( who are undercover ) cos Commando never tries to be anything other than a completely far fetched load of entertaining bullshit. Banshee tried to become a whodunit in the final season and got confused. Multiple assassins, Nazis, general thugs, government officials can get killed in huge gunfights in large numbers and strange chicks can burn themselves to death but the moment girls get murdered months apart the town loses its shit.

How big would Banshee be ? about the size of Palmy by the looks.
-

It looked a lot bigger in the last series.

It has always been total fantasy pulp fiction and I loved it all.

Even fairly hard critics admit that it went places no other TV show has and added some very clever production along the way. It was used as a vehicle to develop some good ideas and filming concepts. -

Given when Hood started as Sheriff there were what, 4 of them?

Final episode I saw at least a dozen people in Uniform wandering around at one time, and given the amount of crime there, you'd expect that would equate to 1/4 of the towns Sheriff-force, so say 50+, making it a decent sized town...of course I could just be making all this shit up in order to get a job in Banshee!
-
Peaky Blinders is simmering away nicely. Superb performances in ep 4 setting up Tommy to get that repulsive priest.

I love this show. The acting, the shots, the soundtrack. Its just quality I reckon.

It does need to be viewed quite intensely though I think with no distractions for an hour

2 more series commissioned last week I believe -

Think there are 2 eps left of The Americans, really enjoy this show, great acting and storylines.

I gather this is the final series, and I think they are timing it very well, unlike other shows they seem to rush things but things are all coming together, although I am not sure what an ideal ending looks like for this show and the characters...aside from the fact this is another show with an annoying teenage daughter, who is in start contract to the younger brother.
-

I haven't started the new series of Penny Dreadful and I have 1 to watch of Outlander...the wife and all her friends love Jamie, as I am sure MN5's better half does too??

Haha, you got it. She's into tall Scottish looking blokes though.

It's not a bad show actually, he has a rather unpleasant experience when he is in an English jail though.

Penny Dreadful is in danger of the GOT treatment ie too many stories at one time. It does occasionally have some real frights though, great stuff !
-

I'm pretty certain it's historically accurate but I can't figure out how a rough Scotsman like Jamie would know French so well ? or am I being naïve.....?

Coming to Paris and taking over a flash house and selling wine seems a good gig though, better than the shitty fucken highlands at least.

Also.....
Claire thought Randell had died when he got trampled by the cattle, she didn't seem so concerned but then she found out he was actually alive and implored Jamie not to kill him, at least not til later. Given that he preferred intimacy with blokes I can't see how he ends up being Franks ancestor......so it's ok she marries and gets pregnant to another bloke, how come she is so concerned about Frank ?
-

My wife is also a big fan of Outlander and yes, Jamie get's her engine going. After watching the season 1 she went and read all the books.
-

well...
Frank is an innocent, he is not like the bad Randall, although in her normal present time he seems to be a bit of a fluffybunny.

That is why she wants to save Jack, for Frank, although Jack marries that bird and is a great grandfather of her hubby, he isn't or was never the father, it is his brother who told her he was still alive.

Obviously we are in the midst of flashbacks given Claire has gone back to the future to live with Frank...although Jamie obviously finds his way there too.
-
Jamie goes too ? where do you get that from ?

When she thought Randell was dead the first time after they broke Jamie out she didn't seem concerned for him ( Randell ) in the slightest but she does now is I guess the point I was trying to make.
-

I am just speculating of course, but go right back to the very first episode I think it was, and Frank bumps into Jamie who is standing outside in the rain at the place they are staying.

I guess in the heat of that moment, she was happier Jamie was ok, but knowing Jack was ok, meant a chance for Frank?
-

Haha, sounds like we're discussing one of Mokeys books !!!
