True, I was purely thinking of the fact he's a Fijian player. I agree, better one of the 4m young Fijian wingers out there get a Drua contract.
I withdraw my earlier comment. He can weaken Australia's wing depth.

All up there are eight uncapped players in the group, including Waratahs flyhalf Ben Donaldson and Reds fullback Jock Campbell. Donaldson is amongst ten Waratahs named in the squad, with the 22-year-old named despite coming from the field during Saturday's win over the Rebels with a calf complaint. He is joined by returning lock Jed Holloway and prop Harry Johnson-Holmes, earning call-ups after extended periods out of the national squad. Get him in, have a look, tell him what to work on, send him back. It's a 40-man squad after all. They're looking at Caydern Neville who hasn't played a minute this year!
The Force aren't providing a 10 - Pasitoa too young, McIntyre not enough game time. Neither are the Rebels.
So you've got Lolesio, O'Connor, and Donaldson in your 40-man squad. We know who the two likelies are.

@kiwiwomble yeah it's a bit shit. On one hand how does Sampson feel about it? On the other hand you've got succession planning to think about, particularly as Cron arrives later this year.
I guess Sampson knew the deal when he took up the post, particularly when Cron has been seen as the One That Got Away from Aussie Rugby when the Tahs were still faffing around with Gibson. However, I think time overseas would have helped him enormously and so any time is a good time in this case...

It's a good move for Crony, he's pretty pumped to be moving back to this part of the world - shame (for us) it's not to a NZ franchise, but it's a stepping stone!

He got pretty fucked by mgmt and Gibson at the Tahs and it really cost the team in the end. I haven't seen the details of the new contract , but I'd imagine he's negotiated a decent amount of autonomy in Perth.

No, noone will change it, and it hardly surprising, everyone with half a brain knew they were alwys going to get it, all good promo and keeping it front of people's minds though!
