@mn5 what were those 6 guys thinking

I don’t know but someone deleted whatever @booboo was going to answer with

He does live up where they do whale tours. Hadn't heard of that type of tour though.

Well at just 6 at a time, it'll never make money.

Bubblehead commentary at NBC compares lurch to Jackie Robinson celebrating Thomas for breaking the “biological sex barrier,” yes really, and expecting the rest of us to parade behind the emperor wearing no clothes.

“Anyone who cares about the advancement of sports, and women's sports in particular, should celebrate her win.”

Otherwise you’re not a real sports fan, fraudster.

It seems the governing bodies of these sports are seriously out of touch with the views of the common public, which overwhelmingly oppose this kind of rubbish.

Sort of confirms my view of a lot of career climbers getting there by reciting whatever is 'woke' to get promoted and being fundamentally unprincipled and cowardly people. Like some ruthless female CEOs pretending to be feminist to climb the ladder when in fact all they care about is their own advancement.

I honestly believe that administrators believe they can thread the needle of being inclusive and ensuring ‘fair’ competition.

But they’re fucking it up all around.

I believe that is driving their attempts to be inclusive. The podcast (I think) you recommended (Things fell apart) dealt with that quite well I thought.

Yes. Did recommend said pod cast. If I recall correctly I thought "Them" dealt with the trans thing kinda ok.

Would have to go back and listen again though.

100%. Look at the JK Rowling backlash all because she thinks a bloke, like me, can't just say "I'm a woman" then stroll into the ladies shitters.

Out of those tweets that I posted the one that makes most sense to me is thread by John Pike.

I have no dea who John Pike is but only got that because I follow Ross Tucker @scienceofsport on Twitter.

I listened to a podcast of his (Tucker) which made (seemingly) a lot of sense, so followed him.

He is a Saffer, and was involved in the IRB ... oops WR ... policy on trans inclusion . Which if you find the podcast is a genuinely good listen.

Hence I get the tweets, which made sense, so I posted.

It’s a promising step that he was even asked the question. Who would ask Ardern?
