I had to go do an AskJeeves to see if they'd ever done a 3rd album while I wasn't looking. Sadly, no.
We're stuck with just the 2 albums of non-stop gold. And a fucking amazingly diverse list of "featuring... " artists. Cat-Power, Mike Patton, RZA, Jack Johnson, Pharrell, DJ Shadow, Del tha Funky Homosapien, Kid Koala, etc, etc.Holy shit. Sign me up !
Love those two in particular. Patton fronts one of my favourite bands of all time ( but can’t sing like he used to ) and Pharrell is an underrated genius, NER*D are the shit.

N*E*R*D - yeah, whatever happened to that "music which isn't cool but you like" thread? Which pretty much just became a shopping list of fuckin' sweet "bangers".
N*E*R*D is perfect for that. A guilty pleasure. -

Those three only scratch the surface.
Pharrell to me is a genuine “Prince” level musical talent.
Great music to have fun with the ladies back in the day.

Well... now that I have official permission, I started to think "N*E*R*D would be pretty sweet motorcyclin' music".
Then realised that I don't currently have my full music collection on hand, to update my phone library.
... So... go online to acquire the necessary files... and discover they've released 2 full studio albums I was unaware of.
Looking forward to checking out the new stuff while riding over Mt Messenger next weekend, I reckon.Edit: and yeah... while I've never been brave enough to compare Pharrell to Prince out loud... I definitely see where you're coming from, and have had the same thoughts myself.

The first three albums were outstanding, the fourth is ok.
I see the most recent ( which I didn’t know existed ) has a collaboration with Ed Sheeran.
Seriously Pharrell, ANYONE but him. Fuck Ed Sheeran and his music.
I’m disgusted and disappointed to put it mildly

@mn5 well the topic is, "What are you listening to right now", maybe he is on hold somewhere, or just listening to it anyway?
Hopefully the former.

Talk about music going in circles. Someone found their parents Flying Lizards LP in the attic.
Good though

New music!
From a band made up of people from bands i already like. Two guys from Soundgarden and the least famous Nirvana guy (and some others). Called "3rd Secret" and it's on Spotify
Only came out yesterday, and i am only on my 2nd listen. It's not bad. Little bit alt-rocky, little bit folky, some grungy throwback guitars with sort of breathy female vocal harmonies over the top.
Might be a pretty good background album.

Yeah what’s his name from Nirvana didn’t quite have the profile of the other two. Kim Thayall from Soundgarden has a good style though, big part of their sound.
I’ll have a listen if someone I know downloads it.
