Not sure the AB7s will release players (like Kitiona Vai) for NPC, this year. RWC Sevens and Commonwealth Games Sevens both on the agenda.

@bovidae I'm hoping James Tucker sees the light and signs for Harbour this year.

Aucklanders like Jock McKenzie don't even sign for NH!

    6 ?

    Jamie Lane & Kitiona Vai?

    I didn't realise Vai was Nanai's brother:

Younger brother Cody Vai might just be he best of the lot!

Not too sure. He was at St Pauls Collegiate right? So yea safe to say the Chiefs will have him wrapped up.

@nogusta St Peters Cambridge - the St Kents of Waikato. Let's see when the U20 squads are named.

Some from Auckland/Northland have stayed, others have returned home.

It is Week One of the Waka Nathan Challenge Cup and Pollard Cup. Our Men’s Premier teams will be into their first official preseason games of the season this week around Tāmaki Makaurau before kicking into the Goodyear club season on 30 April.

    @Steven-Harris

Have you watched the young (21 yo) Eden lock Jack Casey-Pickering in action?

Out of MAGS, and seems to have been involved with Auckland U18.

Would not have been surprised if Rayasi had gone overseas.

@gt12 Maybe he signed with your Chiefs?

He’d be better off, assuming our coaches knew how to select a back three.

    Hold on.

Two exciting re-signings for Auckland Rugby who we will look to bolster the @bunningsnpc forward pack this season.

Alex Hodgman has been lining up some strong performances for @bluesrugbyteam in Super Rugby Pacific. The @suburbsrugby member broke into the All Blacks squad in 2020 and we wish him all the best as he goes for another black jersey this season.

Niko Jones debuted in the Blue and White Hoops in 2020 and an NPC season cut short in 2021 only halted him from making his impact on the game from the side of the scrum. The @waitemata_rugby_club member made his Super Rugby debut for @moanapasifika in Round 9 and we are looking forward to seeing him in the NPC campaign.

We are stoked to announce two exciting homegrown talent have re-signed with Auckland Rugby.

Caleb Clarke has been showcasing his talent with @bluesrugbyteam in Super Rugby Pacific this season. His imposing skill off the wing is always fun to watch and we wish Caleb all the best heading into the international season.

Taufa Funaki has earnt his chance in The Blues gameday line up on a number of occasions this super season. Taufa’s pace and work rate across the park is electric and we are looking forward to seeing him in the Blue and White Hoops this year.

Looking forward to seeing how Funaki goes now that he's been exposed to a higher level

He's had two starts (so far) at SR level in 2022. He's had the same number of NPC starts in total. Still very green
