To review it a bit more in depth.......

Ragtops plan for years to get revenge on an earlier attack where the main bad guys survive, main bad guys are clichéd "weapons dealers". They spend a couple of years meticulously planning an event where all the world leaders wil be present. Plan goes perfectly as they manage to infiltrate the police, government, army etc....Said Ragheads don't count on wise cracking bodyguard played by Gerard Butler who changes the schedule ( if only the rest of the world could be as smart as Americans ) and save the President. Morgan Freeman comes on the screen for some wise words. Butler and the Pres escape multiple brushes with death, Butler has a magical field that deflects ANY bullet from his path, all the A-rabs up against him don't. Butler then
Saves the president in the nick of time from being executed on TV whilst possibly killing more bad guys than Arnie manages in Commando
Everyone cheers and high fives.

Thank GOD America is so great, the rest of the world is so inept, cowardly and clueless compared to them.

Some really bad special FX at times too.

Awful music that always plays in Movies like this ( think independence day, Armageddon etc )

1 TR out of 5 if only cos the banter between Butler and the pres made me chuckle occasionally. Can only assume Liam Neeson, and then John Travolta, turned the part down as they were busy making other implausible bullshit.

10 Cloverfield Lane - half decent thriller (says horror) with John Goodman as a doomsday prepper in his bunker with 2 others, but seems to be a bit more going on than he is letting on...

Watchable, but as with any movie of this genre you start think why did you do that, why didnt you do that....

lead female is tidy.

Just saw Hunt for the Wilderpeople - wow it was great, way better than expected.

I had no problem with the CYFs lady, she was entirely played for laughs and she got big laughs in the cinema I watched it in.

I saw it with a couple of NZers and a couple of Aussies and they all laughed some much of the humour translated across the dutch.

The stink Warriors line got a huge laugh from all the Kiwi males in the cinema (ok, that might have just been me and a mate).

Really glad it came out over here in Oz.

It's good but is a shame that most of it isn't true. The true story is even more amazing imho, but how else do you get Jackman in there?

I'm a sucker for an underdog sports movie.

Its funny, it hits you in the feels (fucking dusty airplanes) and it's a great story well told (real or not). It's just well done.

Yeah, Eddie the Eagle is just a good fun movie, that kid from The Kingsman is a bloody good actor.

I saw Bad Neighbours 2 the other night. Basically every review of it was negative, but in the first half especially it was bloody funny.

Bad Neighbours 2 has to be up there with the most unnecessary sequels of all time. Dumb and Dumber 2 if probably the winner.

Eddie the Eagle gets a tick from me too.
Sure it follows a formula etc but the acting is good and parts (especially when he is a young kid) great underplayed humour

Saw Ted 2 the other day. Thought it was way better then the original - seemed a lot more like Seth's writing with lots of funny one liners.
