He couldnt give a flying fuck about one of this kids being killed.. but what would really fuck him off is his grandson being killed off as he was going to the heir of Roose Bolton.

Exactly. The guy is obsessed with getting respect and linking the Freys with the great houses. It makes no difference though, because I suspect this will just be forgotten, like all that bizarre shit that happened in Dorne.

I tell you what Dani shits me. She's all about kindness and freedom but is now leading an army of the most ruthless, savage and primitive people in the entire series. Her family lost the throne, not because Robert was a dick but because her father was a psychopath and her brother a horny idiot with a thing for Northern girls. In fact her entire family is a bunch of inbreed Ptolemaic type sibling rooting weirdoes. I hope she dies but I suspect she'll win out in the end and the dwarf will be her hand. -

I think any chance Jorah possibly had for a sympathy root went out the window when he showed her his disease ridden arm. Shame, he's one of my favourite characters.
-

Like many my initial reactions were, yawn... Little action and no titties. The only cool things were the very late introduction of “Cold Hands†and then he is revealed as Uncle Benjen. Also Drogonâ€
s appearance was also very cool.

But then I couldn't sleep so I got up and watched it again and then this morning Iâ€ve read a few recaps and like BSG I now think that was a huge episode in terms of setting up things for the various story lines.

What that episode seems to confirm or at least give credence to is some of the Theories surrounding Bran.

Of those, there are 3 main theories:

1. Bran Stark, given his “time travel†abilities is thought to be one and the same with all the “Bran Starks†throughout Westeros history including Bran the Builder. As Ole Nan said, there must always be a Bran Stark in Winterfell

2. That while he doesnâ€t have control of and an understanding of his abilities, he goes back in time and attempts to fix things but instead makes things worse such as whispering or appearing to Aerys Targaryn, the Mad King, warning of the White Walker threat and this causes Aerys to go mad and wants to burn everyone. This seems to be supported by the number of flashes to Aerys in Branâ€
s visions

3. Bran is in fact the Lord of Light. That when he gains control of his abilities, his whispering and warnings of to various people the coming war against the White Walkers (where of course fire is one of the main weapons) he is elevated to god status and those he whispers to have become the priests and priestesses of . It also explains why Melissandre and the other adherents to the Lord of Light speak of the “Prince that was promised“ to defeat the White Walkers and that prince looks likely to be Jon Snow

And one final theory, which I quite like, is that the 3 eyed crow was an earlier incarnation of Bran himself and young Bran, is now the 3 eyed crow – which was confirmed as this was how he was addressed by Cold Hands/Uncle Benjen Stark.

What sucks is that there are now only 3 episodes remaining in this season and yet no sign of the Winds of Winter being released however GRRM did last week just release another chapter from the book.

Cheers
-

Thank you BSG, I stand corrected. I thought yesterday was Ep 7.
-

Further thoughts about the last episode of GoT...

Happy to see the Arya story line finally move away from boring.

She is such a great character and in the earlier seasons, her trails and tribulations and in particular, her journey of discovery with the Hound was some of the most compelling viewing.

However her time in the House of Black and White serving the "Faceless God" was as boring as batshit!

Good to see she has finally abandonded that and when last seen, she had regathered Needle and it looks like she is now laying in wait for the "Waif" for a fight to the death. Hopefully she will then return to Westeros and be re-united with Jon and Sansa.

What I would like to see is that she somehow comes across Dany, the Imp, Milk Chocolate Hotty, Grey Worm, etc. and travels to Westeros with them and is the catalyst for the Armies of the North lead by the Starks to join with Dany's army to take on the Lannisters and those loyal to the Crown.

Or knowing how GRRM likes to fuck with our minds and hearts... he could just kill her off in a fight with the Waif.

This season seems to be one of reunions after the previous 5 seasons have been ripping apart the (remaining) Starks and sending them in all different corners of this imaginary world...

Jon and Sansa

Bran and Uncle Benjen

Theon and Yara

Even Rikon has been brought back and is now in the North and ready for a reunion (or a death to further incentivise the remaining Starks).

I also think that by taking the Valyrian steel sword of the Tarly household, this signals that Samwel will ultimately end up renewing his bromance with Jon in the penultimate battle that will likely finish the series and the books, The final battle of next season, which I think is meant to be the last, will be the victorious combined armies of the North (Starks) and Dany who now sit on the Iron Throne finally battle against the White Walkers and their army of the undead.
-

I'd like Jamie to get captured and hung by the Brotherhood and Lady Stoneheart. Despite his dramatic change and the sympathy felt because he lost his paw, he was still a disgraceful human being who pushed a kid out of a window. They can hang Brienne while they're at it. Renly was a dickhead.

-
Ramsay and Little Finger will win the Game of Thrones.

The only thing Jamie did wrong was not finish Bran off.
-

Scooby Doo!

-

That made no sense. Why would the brotherhood without banners be slaughtering randoms? Especially if Stoneheart is in charge?

You could look at buying her one of Mokey's books to see if that will help get her in the mood and hopefully speed things up. -

She had a long chat with the Sparrow and we're starting to really think Margery is all in on what the Sparrow is serving up. She's very convincing, as you can see even Queen of Thornes is convinced. The Sparrow told Margery that the Queen of Thornes is a sinner and needs to reform.

From memory I think the opening scene was introducing us to The Hound's new life. Long story short: he is big and strong (suitably demonstrated by him carrying a log Commando style while everyone else goes 4 men to a log) and chops trees like a boss. We learn that the preacher (Saloon owner from Deadwood TV show) found him rotting and assumed he was dead but somehow survived, apparently kept alive by hate. Hound thinks it's because he is a 'big fucker and tough to kill'. Preacher guy thinks it's because the Gods haven't finished with him yet.
