I didn't watch the game but read about Ja getting hurt. So did Poole show intent?

It seemed pretty innocuous because there was tight D and a double team and Ja was struggling to maintain possession. But no doubt it will be put in slow motion and replayed over and over to appear differently.

    “Broke the code” - Ja’s tweet 😉

Big Stevie Adams making a huge impact with his defence and offensive rebounding.

Warriors haven’t played that bad in the first half, but the Grizzlies have been lights out.

Ja Morant is really really fucking good at basketball

    but

given the evidence this year, are the Grizz a better team with him out?

Grizzlies are on a tear. Warriors turning it over like nobody’s business.

Grizzlies getting plenty of scoring opportunities

Doubled the rebound count, doubled the assists and will probably double the Warriors score.

And what a finish in Boston! TGF and Holiday are just relentless. Boston blew that one big time.

Jrues D late was nuts. Cool to see a game won with 2 x massive defensive plays.

Apparently his opponents are shooting 33% during the playoffs. Pretty obscene.

James Harden that’s weak bro. You’re on $40m+ a season and in a do or die playoff game you only put up 9 shots. Yeah you had assists, but your team is struggling to score and you go gun shy. Not even a FT attempt in 43 minutes of ball!

@mariner4life too many late nights in the club rather than the gym. The anti-LeBron when it comes to looking after an ageing body.

I love that Harden demanded CP3 be traded from Houston because he thought he was washed, and now a few years later Harden is washed and CP3 trucking on at age 37...

As good defence on Book as I’ve seen this season. Suns were crowded and just turned it over time and again. CP3 looked tired.

Bullock hitting shots certainly helps the Mavs too.

Game 7 and the Mavs have the best player, Suns have the best team.

Cant see us getting up, but really pleased to see us compete so well. C’mon Luka!

Nah bro, keep the faith. I picked Mavs in 7 and still believe.

I’ve been a Mavs fan since 1992, I know many years of pain.

I like the way Luka is getting the Suns to pick their poison - the pieces around him can all catch and shoot and that’s what’s needed to offset his skills on the ball.

@gt12 some tough times indeed 😉

I had a Rolando Blackman poster on my wall as a kid so have always had a soft spot for the Mavs too. When him, Fat Lever and Derek Harper were together they had one of the best three guard rotations going around but they used to get dominated inside and on the boards. They could never land a decent power forward or centre in an era when it was critical to have big guys that played inside and contributed.

That’s just before my time. I started really following them when they were rebuilding and would fuck it up with some asshole coach after another. I think we had Jackson and Mashburn then Kidd, then looked good, then traded him, then sucked until we finally got Nowitzki. That started paying off after I had graduated university and stopped playing, so for pretty much every year I played I was constantly getting the piss from all of the Bulls supporters (a few Suns supporters too).

@gt12 yeah they drafted Jimmy Jackson in 92, then Mashburn in 93 and Kidd in 94.

That 94-95 where they had all three of them for the first season they were average a combined 60+ points and really fun to watch. Did they win games, more than the previous season, but they were still poor.

Later they had Nowitzki-Finley-ascendant Nash only to allow Nash to leave in free agency just as they were getting good. Who would go back to PHX to become 2 x league MVP. One of Mark Cuban's regrets I bet

Sources: Nike unlikely to extend Kyrie shoe deal

Sources: Nike unlikely to extend Kyrie shoe deal

Kyrie Irving has a new edition of his shoe set to debut in the fall, but that is expected to be the final year of a lucrative signature series that he has had with Nike since 2014, sources told ESPN.

I am sure someone will give him a deal elsewhere. But it was inevitable that Kyrie's behaviour would eventually have commercial implications for him. Personally, I wouldn't offer him a long term deal for anything either. The guy is too irresponsible
