BF Sevens v Canada could be good if that young speedster Canada have gets in a foot race with Blyde.

    BF7s beat Spain 29 - 0.
    AB7s beat USA 19 - 17.

    7:52pm: BF7s v Canada
    11:06pm: AB7s v Australia

The BF7s are already through to the Cup QFs, regardless of the result v Canada.

The Australian men earlier lost to the USA (19 - 24) and beat Scotland 28 - 7.
Because both the Aussies and USA are on equal points with one loss and one win, the AB7s better win their last pool game, because I don't know what the tie breaker is if all three teams finish on equal points in their pool. NZ & Oz are best placed in terms of points differential.

Blyde is a superstar. What an athlete!

Carter looked motivated to make up for his clumsiness in game 1 with a huge work rate against USA. Just as well. Amazing try for Rokolisoa but little else to enthuse on. Where are you Tim Mikkelsen?

Any chance of a Blyde v Carrington arm wrestle ?

Blyde not only has speed she is built!

That may be so. But it's hardly a fair fight. Lisa has the big guns!

BFs up 5 nil against Canada. Canada did not make one tackle in the first half

A few mistakes in this game, but the BF7s haven't had much possession. Just tackle, tackle, tackle.

BF7s lead 5 - 0 at half time. Blyde scored a try in the 4th minute.

That Canadian player, Krissy Scurfield, is seriously quick. Quicker than Blyde! Still, Hothma gets the try.

    12 - 0 BF7s

In 7s, a deliberate knock-down is still yellow, unlike XVs. Fluhler gets a few minutes on the naughty seat.

That was a great steal from Brazier.

Now one of the Canadians gets yellow. Looked like she tried to use her leg to tackle a BF.

Amazing try to Fitzpatrick. The TMO had to check whether she had a foot in touch, but they were still in the air when she dotted down.

    17 - 0 BF7s

    That's the full time score.

The BF7s top their pool. Now they'll have to wait to find out who'll be their opponent in the QFs.

That QF will be at 3.42am.

First time since 99 the AB 7s haven’t made the quarters.
Got some rough and bizarre calls against Oz but basically this way of play they are trying is pants. Just allows the opposition to press you back until you make an error

@Crucial Though missing out on the QF because of a worse points differential.

South Africa missing out as well.

Our work at kickoff both ways is a major problem. Curry Mikkelsen and NG Shiu very good.

That's quite the turnaround on previous fixtures. Just a blip tho.

Terrible technique and that’s the coaches fault. They are lifting the catcher front on and exposing themselves to interference. Oz obviously spotted it in previous games and targeted the flaw.
I don’t think it’s a blip. I think we have some good personnel but the strategy and style is just awful. This whole soaking and moving back waiting for an opportunity is a terrible strategy and doesn’t take advantage of our big bodies and breakdown abilities.
The Black ferns by contrast go forward hard and look to shift the defence around
