10 1996 42Ah so that counts out my next suggestion of Glenn Hoddle who must be from about 1960 but he did bang in a fair few goals for Tottenham Hotspur.
On reflection my Spurs did spend a couple of seasons in the old Div 2 in the late 70s so that probably is where I might be wrong.. -
