Is "devistating" a new word?
I have enjoyed the banter between Obi-Wan and Leia. I am assuming they are trying to show she is a bit more mature than her age, given her upbringing, and has the attitude we see as an adult. The quality of the dialogue has never been a strong point of the Star Wars universe.
Exactly. All the movies have had shit dialogue, they are base on b-movie serials after all.
Watching more of Vader as an evil unstoppable force is worth the other stuff. And EM's acting is brilliant.
I never considered that Obi Wan didn't realise Anakin was still alive until much later. A good moment.
Although ##spoiler
I thought it was a bit early to already have them lightsabre fighting!
##endspoilerI like the 3rd sister, absolute nutter!

@Machpants ##spoiler
It works because its such a contrast to the last fight, with OWK running away. I think he'll get his connection to the force stronger with his old masters help to rescue Leia, and they will have an epic final battle. I'm here for it.
##endspoiler -
That Asian Inquisitor is a dick, I hopes he bags it soon.
##spoiler
The confrontation between Vader and Kenobi was just incredible, loved it.It was a bit crap how Kenobi got away though, a bit of fire wouldn’t have stopped Vader striding though surely……

God that leia chase scene in the forest was fucking pathetic
EDIT: In fact every time she runs, it's like old people racing. They could've at leat chosen a child actress that could fucking run!
So much this. Those two chase scenes were hilariously bad. Combine those with the crap that was The Book of Boba Fett and I was ready to pack it in. Lucky I didn't as the third episode was great.

thoughts? i think fake just because i thought the light sabers were added in post and they just had a coloured stick
so...fake was it?
i know the series is getting great reviews....but im worried
##spoiler
that was very early in the season for the big meeting, i liked seeing DV being ruthless because im not sure we have actually seen a hell of a lot of it before...but still, kind of thought the big fight would be the end of the series, and as i said earlier, DV's comment about master and student kind of loses something....he's well and truly the master alreadyand some of the production value like the laser gate thing....as has been mocked on line already...they could just nipped around it, why shoot it?
and the sets do feel a bit cheap...non descript small rural towns
im not really sure what we're building towards now...just escaping with their lives? DV knows obi wan will come out of hiding for this child (surprised he couldn't sense his own child when that close)....so even if they escape why wouldn;t they just do it again...and again
##endspoiler -
@Kiwiwomble It's already half way through!

Conversely why walk around when you can shoot a blaster.
-
@Bovidae yeah, saw someone comment on that, pointed out the 501st were like brothers to anakin and obi wan....that one clone showed
anakin and obiwan would never had let a clone from the 501 become homeless...vader would, vader doesnt care and Ben was afraid or felt powerless to help
-
@Kiwiwomble Yeah, that's what I read. That the 501st were abandoned by DV. I thought it was funny that I recognised the voice before seeing the character on screen.

If they’re old and can’t fight anymore then the empire has no use for them. Don’t forget that at 35 years of age they’re essentially actually 70.
