@Kiwiwomble Yeah, that's what I read. That the 501st were abandoned by DV. I thought it was funny that I recognised the voice before seeing the character on screen.

If they’re old and can’t fight anymore then the empire has no use for them. Don’t forget that at 35 years of age they’re essentially actually 70.

See Bad Batch for that story

I would if I could sit through the cartoons

These are all kids shows. Aimed at 12/13 year olds.

I enjoyed SW Rebels and Bad Batch. Clone Wars was a bit same same for me

@canefan and i enjoyed clone wars much more than bad batch, liked how we'd go and see different people with small arcs here and there rather than the same group every week, rebels did it well i thought though...shows there is something for everyone

Rebels was the boss. The final series was epic, especially the DV Ashoka bits. Which show had the Obi-Wan Darth Maul story arc? That was quite good

both shows did, clones wars probably more of one, but it culminates in rebels

Disagree a bit. Great fun seeing……

    ##spoiler
Obi Wan start to retain his power and kick some stormtrooper arse.

Third sister didn’t come across as menacing at all, more like a frustrated babysitter trying to get Leia to eat her greens.

Also what the fuck is with that creepy tomb ? I’m positive I saw some Jedi from the old days……are the Empire trying to clone them ?

I dunno what a Jedi Jesus robe is made of, but man it is quick drying, I want some!

So those tombs, were some of them in them previously on the series? So forgettable than they were entirely nothing to me?

One had links to Clone Wars but not a major character. I think another could have been a Jedi council member. That’s just geek stuff though the point was the effect on Obi Wan

@Crucial It's all very cartoonish, the action pretty lame. But I'm enjoying it cos of Ewan, who is a great actor. Pretty mcuh SW, a fairy story in spaaaaaaaaaaace

That’s just what SW is though. It’s not meant to be some brilliant action drama.

Totally that's what I said, pretty much SW. Ewan McGregor lifts it so much.

Finally watched, very glad we got off a barren planet!

Obiwan slowly getting back into being a Jedi is cool

    Agreed.

Tattooine has been absolutely done to death.

A rugged Snow mission on Hoth could be good fun down the line though! Might have to wait til another series….

There’s apparently been two big name drops along the way that may link to Rogue Squadron
That kid looking to escape with his mum via the fake Jedi was called Corran and the he name Valin Halcyon was written on the walls of the hut for the “path”
Valid Halcyon was also known as Hal Horn and his son Corran Horn was the force sensitive ace x-wing pilot in Rogue squadron.
More “legends” material coming into canon.

I've just watched Part V. Easily the best episode so far.

    So, so good.

    ##spoiler
A few continuity errors ( will rewatch to make sure ) as hordes of stormtroopers were gunned/sliced down but their bodies seemed to vanish as if it were a video game.

Loved the flashbacks with Annie/Obi Wan even if I am a bit depressed that a bloke younger than me ( Hayden Christensen ) needs to be digitally de aged.

So cool seeing Vader toying with the third sister but for fuck sake man, don’t pull the old “assume they’re dead” cliche when they’re clearly still fighting and breathing !

Killing the third sister made sense but there will obviously now be a twist after she heard the conversation between Obi-Wan and Bail Organa.

Were they really that de-aged? It looked to me like make-up only and I was quite pleased that a bad CGI wasn't done.
Great to see a decent lightsaber fight though.
Some real suspend all belief moments but that's par for the course, this isn't a reality show.
