Baz Luhrmann has a movie about The King coming out in two weeks. Tom Hanks is the Colonel. Trailers are looking alright, but if Baz does to E what he did to Gatsby, I’m goin’ Memphis Mafia on his pencil neck.
It’s Baz, of course you’re going to have to Memphis Mafia his pencil neck.
I will see this, but only because I have vouchers I need to use up.

Hustle on Netflix
4 matadors out of 5 wolves
Watched this last night, typical Rocky story but one of the better ones and Sandler is very good.

I just watched Hustle. What a great film. Adam Sandler was brilliant, and the chemistry between him and "Cruz" felt tangible. I love the ownership story of the 76ers, that echoed the real life Lakers story of Dr Buss, Jim and Jeannie. LBJ and Carter's involvement meant that the film was loaded with NBA folk. It felt like a lover letter to the league.

Yeah me too, just finished it now. Good feel good sports movie even if I have no idea who modern basketballers are as I stopped watching NBA in the early 00s. Kind of reminded me of Draft Day a bit.

The Harvest (1993 or 92?)
An early production of a postmodern thriller script that blurred the screenwriter with a basic thriller plot.
Fortunately in this case the writer was played by Miguel Ferrer.
Mildly interesting, worth watching.
There are rips on the internet of the 4:3 DVD release.

Blast from the past - watched Polanski's Chinatown (1974) the other night. First viewing ever for Mrs M, I'd last seen it about 10 years ago.
What a bloody brilliant film. Everything about it is just about perfect.

@Nepia saw Jurassic World today, enjoyable film!
Some nice nods to the original, even more so with some of the original cast.
Some cliched moments, but adds to it, guess the door is open for another.
3.5 did you guys not learn from the last time out of 5 nope, that Steve Jobs looking mofo done learned nothing!
I am a fan of Bryce Dallas Howard, DeWanda Wise looked pretty sexy too.

It's getting panned too, which I find strange, especially in comparison with the second one.
Agree with all your points.
I also saw another movie getting panned - Lightyear. I just thought this was a fun space movie and then I hear it's ruining Toy Story's legacy.
TBH I didn't even think of it as a Toy Story movie, to me it was just a movie about a character who was made into a toy. Maybe it's because I'm not a Toy Story absolutist, I really like 1 and 2, but I fell asleep during 3 (for reasons unrelated to the quality of the movie) and have never finished it so conversely haven't seen 4.
3.5 Taika's in everything from Disney these days out of 5. -
