Thoughts on the squad and what can you tell us about the new caps @MiketheSnow ?

As much as I love Lydiate, why?

Unless our other flankers like Thomas Young and Botham are injured.

    Same for Priestland.

    The rest picked themselves.

New boys have been playing well but would still have gone with Young and Botham

We’re going to be hammered regardless

You know you’re getting old when a cricketer you have fond memories of watching play has a grandson playing international sport.

Scotland's Hollie Davidson will lead the first all-female team of referees to officiate a men's test when she takes charge of a match between Portugal and Italy next month.

Davidson, who has already officiated a men's test between Malta and Cyprus in March 2019, will also become the first female referee in a test featuring one of the Six Nations sides.

Davidson will be supported by assistant referees Sara Cox and Aurelie Groizeleau, as well as television match official Claire Hodnett.

"To be the first woman to referee a men's Six Nations team is a tremendous honour and an achievement I am proud of," said Davidson, who will also officiate a men's test between Canada and Belgium in July.

"I have been happy with my progress in the last couple of years and working as a full-time professional referee with Scottish Rugby has really helped that."

Davidson will be part of an 18-strong team of officials, which includes 15 women, at the women's Rugby World Cup in New Zealand later this year.

Like we have the Oceania U20 Championship here in the South, there will also be an U20 tournament in the NH (on top of the 6 Nations).

    UNDER-20 SUMMER SERIES (24 JUNE – 12 JULY)

Eight of the best age-grade teams in Europe and Africa will travel to northern Italy later this month to take part in the Under-20 Summer Series.

Split into two pools of four teams, the action will take place across four match-days with matches played at the Payanini Center in Verona and Treviso’s Stadio Di Monigo.

Pool A consists of France, Ireland, England and South Africa, while Scotland, Wales, Italy and Georgia have been drawn in Pool B.

The Under-20 Summer Series will get under way on 24 June when England play South Africa and France take on Ireland.

Twenty-four hours later, Scotland are scheduled to face Wales before Italy and Georgia go head-to-head. Following three rounds of pool-stage action, the tournament will conclude with cross-pool play-offs on 12 July.

Fans around the world will be able to watch the Under-20 Summer Series via the Six Nations Rugby U20 YouTube channel.

“U20 tournaments have proven to be a successful pathway for young talents in our unions to flourish, gain international experience and prepare for test rugby,” World Rugby Chairman Sir Bill Beaumont said.

“Before the global World Rugby U20 Championship and Trophy return next year, we are delighted to support our unions and Six Nations Rugby in delivering the Under-20 Summer Series, a fantastic opportunity for promising rugby players to compete at the highest level.”

Twelve teams will compete in the Under-20 Summer Series and Oceania Rugby Under-20 Championship, tournaments that have been supported financially by World Rugby.

Manu Tuilagi has undergone a routine procedure on his knee which will rule the 31-year-old out of this summer’s England tour to Australia.
Ignore the incorrect spelling of his name -

Baabaa’s playing not too bad. Have scored 2 tries plus a PT.

Will Skelton red carded for a head shot after a knock on - very poor play.

    England look a little disorganised.

    Baabaa’s up 19-11 at HT

    In OZ it’s on Stan

That Penaud knows how to sniff a try or two.

When England put it through the hands they look okay.

    Nice England try.

Baabaas up 31-21 with kick to come

Great little kick over the D line from only 5m out for the try. Penalty advantage so not a bad tactic, for a Baabaa’s team that is!

Baabaa’s up 38-21 with 12 minutes to go.

Brilliant. They’ve gone 90m for a spectacular try.

The reserve halfback for the Baabaa’s has been brilliant.

    Baabaa’s up 45-21.

A back heeled conversion if you don’t mind 😎

@ACT-Crusader I love how the Barbarians keep playing like the Barbarians, are down to 14 players, and still score tries seemingly without much effort. England is terrible, but the Baabaas are fun to watch.

@Stargazer yep, once some of those French backs get a little sniff they do take the opportunity.

Surely Kruis is now a bolter for the tour? 😂
