I couldnโ€™t give a flying fuck if you all think it was a bad game.

We havenโ€™t beaten the Poms since 2015. More than that, we havenโ€™t gotten close to beating the Pons since 2015.

We lost Quade in the warmup, then lost Banks, AAA and Swain inside the first half.

And we FUCKEN WON. By rolling straight over the top of them.

So it might have been ugly but Iโ€™m grinning from ear to ear today, no matter what all of you miserable Kiwi bastards think.

10/10 game. A classic for the ages.

            @barbarian

            Great post.

Itโ€™s a fucking cliche, but its really true for me -
I support two teams, the All Blacks and anyone playing England.

I only saw the second half, but I really enjoyed it.

Btw, they are followed by anyone playing you fluffybunnies, but those fluffybunnies are worse.

It was a bad game from England, not so sure for Oz. Showed great heart to keep in the game and really roll over the top of England. Second half they were great.

                    Unbelievably stupid red card though.

Eddie has done a cracking job making the team far less than the sum of their parts.

They really do have some cracking players.

                      But god they are awful.

Yep. Good old "Shelf Life" Jones.

Everyone here remembers the RWC2003 semi-final. Nobody thinks about his almost religious determination to ignore or even devolve our scrum.

Yep, I'm not sure what more people expect of Eddie? He specialises in one-off victories against the All Blacks, and he's already delivered that so I don't think he has much more to offer England now. Time for him to move to the next team that wants a famous win against us.

In his defence: Jones took a failed RWC2015 Test team and turned them around in pretty short order, which is his specialty. Grand Slam, two other 6N titles, undefeated in a calendar year. RWC final and a few wins on the trot against us as well.

You could easily say he took the massive resources of RFU and just pointed it in the right direction, but that clearly wasn't as easy as first thought because England have underperformed so massively overall when you look at their results. The problem with having a huge resource base is sometimes too many choices. Particularly when some of the talent in your local comp is foreign.

His main issue is stagnation. It happened nearly everywhere he went - and really your head coach should be 3-4 years at most IMHO.

There's a view which says Eddie is great at taking on a team on the cusp and riding to glory on the back of his predecessors hard work.

He's had plenty of quality players to pick from but just seems incapable of developing them much once they come into his squad. Often he has the opposite effect which is worse than stagnation.

Yep. He's great at lifting a team up then working out a game plan for them to specialise on which yields strong results.

I think his downfall is not moving on quick enough from said game plan. I think he's one of the great rugby brains, but just doesn't seem to have the ability to adapt a team more than once.

Assume you mean Squidge? The Welsh guy. I quite like his analysis, he certainly makes me look at a game or a strategy with a different view. I also think he has a point about how Eddie is trying to fundamentally change Englandโ€™s attacking strategy. If it turns out to be effective AND If our boys can implement it with sufficient accuracy and consistency then weโ€™ll be in a much better place.

                                          If.
