Can see the real difference in the break down work , and there example right there TJ showing some great strength, but where was the accuracy of the cleaners ..only one enhancing his reputation is Sean Stephenson ..what were the chiefs thinking ?

Missing our 5 and 6 from last match

Hahaha the Irish getting so brave they just try coming from the Maori side now. Surprised to see it penalised

Yes, you can pass a ball to an Irishman directly behind the ruck because that's a perfectly onside position.

That was the last straw. Where do they find these refs?

He called “that’s once” after a couple of pushes backwards and then after several pushes back, he allows play on.
Mauls (if we can still call them that) suck.

MABs have been poor. In danger of losing easily. Zarns ball clearing is missed

Same coach. Shaun Stevenson was on the unavailable/injured list quite a lot in the later half of the season - despite the "Claytons favourites" talk on here after some selections. Stevenson is available and Clayton has started him in both games at this level.

Yes, Stevenson got that nasty knee injury against MP so wasn't available again until the very end of SR.

I commented how slow TJP's passing was watching live at the first game. Nothing has changed, so the player receiving the ball is usually under pressure.

Excellent game from Ireland XV so far. McCarthy and Prendergast making nuisances of themselves. Larmour looking lively. Lowry looking uncertain at 15 - hope Māori don’t spot that. Loughman developing nicely up front.

It’s more his decision making. At least twice Stevenson and Moorby have fucked around instead of just clearing it. SS has a massive boot and should be hoofing the ball straight back

@Bovidae and the accuracy isn’t quite there too. Not harbour bridge terrible but the receivers have had to take it on the side or below their waist.

    Time for (gulp) Weber

Ireland increase their lead very early in the second half with a penalty to lead 20 - 05

Open play I thought. Perenara popped it up to no one, he came through from his side and caught it. Looked fine

It's physically impossible for the Ireland player to be there legally.

Doesn't matter anyway. Only a matter of time before the MAB got isolated and turnover over.

NZ teams seem reluctant to play territory. Ireland haven’t created much but feeding off Maori errors.

    I'll need that one explained.
