Origin done, and it's the run to finals

And the first news is, Tigers to sign Benji to a 5-year coaching deal!

That's certainly not following a traditional path

well, was there a conventional coach that wanted to sign there? I believe Sheens is part of that deal though right?

interestingly under NRL rules the three players with HIA category one assessments won't be available this weekend, but only stand down 5 days (unless ongoing symptoms)

Warriors without DWZ because of Covid, and Volkman has other virus..

after that brutal game last night, of the people originally named to back up, will be interesting to see how many do. If Tedesco does, that will be insane

if anyone needs the weekend off surely you give it to them after that?

Yep, Sheens will be head coach for 2 years i think, then Benji

@mariner4life you would think so, anyone who took part in that for more than 10 minutes should be rested, I also heard Grant was limping at the airport.

I suspect though that in Bellamy's case, he may risk them regardless, which would be dumb, but he is already losing grip on a home semi to your mob and the cheese is sitting on the sidelines due to giving the ref a serve..

Greatest fullback ever if he backs up and plays on the weekend 😎

Cleary said before last night that none of his origin players would be playing for Penrith this round. Lucky they are playing the Tigers...

SJ the only person who can throw a pass that will always be a successful intercept, the only time where I could consider it a low risk play FFS

Even doing an apprenticeship under Tim Sheens won't fix the list, nor the board. Which is the problem, very much like the dilemma of the Blues.

But I hope they both get remunerated well for the heartache.

At least Mags can come on piss trips with us again.

I was about to say we haven’t looked that bad, but the last 6 minutes has been classic Warriors.

Montoya is surely a plant for the Eels

Nrl beats rugby union for drama and skills again this week. Just watched Storm have third loss in a row. What a nail biter though with numerous apparent tries ruled out. And with time up Storm milked a penalty call after playing basketball and gridiron passes. Match highlight was the skills of the rookie James Schiller scoring an outrageous chip and chase try. Really worth a look for any budding rugby winger.

@ARHS always love it when the Storm lose, even better when it’s a thriller!

I checked the table for the first time in ages and was quietly surprised we were only 12th. I thought we were 14th or 15th

Hopefully the Rabbits can keep the Dogs out so we stay 12th 😉

Melbourne are cooked. Already on the ropes, you lose Paps for the year and it is done.

The Dogs are in a good spot at the moment, and should attract the best available coach

I think the 8 is locked in now. I think the Storm having the Warriors and the Titans still to play keeps them in the 8 even if the rest goes wrong.

Because the bottom 3rd of the table is so bad, you'll probably need a winning record to come 8th.

Sounds like I missed a good one between the Storm and Raiders. I'll check it out tonight.

I watched the Bunnies and Dogs game and that was really good. Not a big fan of Latrell, but he's a seriously good player.

@Dice Yep - worth watching. My sky recording stopped within seconds of the hooter - with a referral decision yet to be made. Had to look up the result online to be sure. Real nail-biter and lots of near misses.
