@ACT-Crusader Something seriously wrong with you if you'd rather England win.

Nah, I know I’m in the minority here but I’m an England fan. They’ve been my second team to support since the late 80s.

Not just here, you're in a minority of one globally.

I know lots of people support England, but I assumed that they were literally nobody's second team

@Derpus whilst I do support England after the ABs, my mantra for international rugby is, I support two teams, the ABs and whoever is playing the Springboks.

Again, not a popular view around these parts…

    England fans have never:

    1. Punched me on a train after a game
    2. Ruined a dinner party over rugby
    3. Tried to start a fight with me after the ABs lost

    Cmon England.

Great contest. English efficiency v Australian enterprise. Best game I gave seen from Wright.

I was going to post the same thing.

Conversely, White's passing and options didn't help his team.

0-0 draw is always my hoped for outcome. I'd rather you both lose.

But, I don't think Oz are too far off, they look in better shape than the ABs as a team (although I think we'll still win due to individuals). It was Smith's turnover try that was the difference.

@Nepia Yeah there seems to be some development but the results still aren't quite there.

Nope. I’ve lived in Aus for 20 years, married an Aussie, kids all born here. I’d rather the Wallabies lose against everyone.

I grew up in the Eales, Larkham, Gregan era where if it wasn’t Eales kicking the Wallabies to a win in the last minute it was Kefu scoring at the death to deny the AB’s or Mortlock intercept in the 2003 RWC semi..I’m scarred and I’m bitter 😀

@TheMojoman yep some tough years being here in OZ as an ABs fan. But I’ll be cheering for the Cadbury Crew against both the Boks and Argies.

@TheMojoman a four year period amongst a sea of All Black dominance.

I guess the periods of relative weakness stand out more when you expect to win every match.

Aussies blew two tries in the first 10 minutes, should have been well up and had England chasing the game. You can see what they're doing though and they are creating opportunities, just lack the polish to finish. Poms look very big, and Hooper looked like a lightweight. Wright was really good. Paisami too many errors. Serevi and Koroibete good. Frost and Valentini too.

Yeah just looked back at that - Hodge and Tupou can't pass under pressure. Wright would have stepped the England fullback and scored near the posts. TBF tho if we get the first try maybe we don't get a crack at the second.

Our pace and short passing around the ruck had England all at sea early on. Failing to capitalise on that means they could take a breath and get into their rhythym.

Paisami isn't a Test 13 for me. Ikitau should probably have started.

Hooper was not running in the right channels to be effective. They targeted him at channel 1 any time he was standing there. Should have gone wider off Kerevi.

Went out to the SCG for this one, and it was a really fun atmosphere.

I haven't watched a replay, and have no intention of ever doing so. My impression at the ground was that we fundamentally lost this game in the contact zone.

Both teams were pretty even, both had chances, ref was good. But when it all was on the line, England were just bigger and stronger. And everything flows from that central fact. We kept charging into their defence and we couldn't damage them enough to create space.

Sucks to lose but I don't feel like we blew it. Sure we could have converted more chances but it wasn't like we were camped on the England line for hours on end.

As far as Wallaby losses go this one hurts but it's a manageable pain. I've had far worse.
