Working in Wellington? I had a quick look at the 2021 Chiefs Dev team that played, and the replacement players named for this season, and there was no one who it could have been.

Let's just list anyone who played for the Chiefs this season then.

Finau was only a late-season injury replacement for ALB, but the only way he makes the Chiefs 2023 squad is as direct replacement for Poihipi. Unlikely.

Good luck to him in Japan. Brown isn't going to be a starter, or even make the bench in the Chiefs best 23.

I'd be looking for an openside as Cane has had his injury concerns in recent years. Ah Kuoi looks to be an option at 6 moving forward.
