Was/is their a Ben Kimber involved with the Green and Gold rugby site and if so, is it the same person that is now the CEO of Stan Sport?

He was not involved, no.

Cheers, for some reason I had that name in my head.

@Machpants Damn, we wouldn't have been wondering who to play 12 if that plane hadn't of stopped in Oz.

I have to agree. The reputational damage and embarrassment should be enough.

Nope
Under section 80.1 a person commits treason if he or she:
causes the death or harm, resulting in death, imprisons or restrains the Sovereign, the heir apparent of the Sovereign, the consort of the Sovereign, the Governor-General or Prime Minister
levies war, or does an act preparatory to levying war against the Commonwealth
intentionally assists, by any means whatsoever, an enemy, at war with the Commonwealth
intentionally assists, by 'any means whatever', another country or organisation that is 'engaged in armed hostilities' against the Australian Defence Force (ADF)
instigates a person who is not an Australian citizen to make an armed invasion of the Commonwealth or a Territory of the Commonwealth, -

....his saving grace might be both have the same sovereign...bloody loopholes -

My "Aussie Rugby" story from last weekend: refereed a Third Grade game in the morning on an oval with a turf cricket square in the middle. Absolute muck there, and dead grass everywhere else.
Played most of 2 Grades in the afternoon, on a track that was slightly better (no turf square, green grass mostly). Started at First Grade hooker which I don't think I've done before.
2 throws not straight and back spams from launching the ball over their only jumper to 4, 5, and occasionally 6. Must be roughly 80% hit rate.Needed a Powerade urgently just after halftime as the cramps started to hit my calves. Lesson learned: I'm too old

Tomorrow we just got official word that we're good to go, despite a bit of moisture underfoot. Only light showers between now and kick off so reckon we'll have a bit of fun

@NTA Mate always laughed about 30 years back in the mighty Nua, the main rugby ground had a cricket pitch in middle. and councils answer to it ripping up, put a fine gravel in it, not too many players were keen to go down in middle of park!!:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:
And love the fact you reffing AND playing, I doff my cap sire!

The news comes as Australiaβs credibility as a host nation hangs in the balance. The Herald can reveal that with a little more than two months before the World Rugby Council votes to award hosting rights, RA has not yet secured a federal government funding commitment worth about $120 million.
The governing body has locked in a similar amount in state government funding but is yet to receive a commitment from Canberra. A federal government source indicated the Morrison Government was supportive of the bid but potentially not at the price RA was asking.
$120M to have a knock-on tourism effect of at least twice that. In limbo.
$4B disaster fund established after the fires of 2019 that is basically untouched.
$600M for a gas plant in NSW that could be a stranded asset before construction even begins? Shit yeah!

Priorities.
@NTA well he did say don't put your trust in government. He might have had inside info on that sage advice.
