You can see why someone like Vettel so cautiously guards his privacy. There's mentally unstable people out there.

the coaching bloodbath this season is unreal

We've had 3 go already. 2 more have been in the gun for months. And now the media are beating the drums for Griffen at the Dragons.

and apparently the Eels are shopping around Brad Arthur if they don't turn up for finals this year.

Do these clubs no more about who is there to take over than i do? I hope for their sake they don't think guys like Toovey or Seibold or Fittler are the answer

unless someone has finally convinced Ciraldo to sign somewhere?

feel sorry for that young coach so much pressure on him as everyone wants him but he hasn't delivered anything under his own watch at this level yet

To be fair a lot of clubs could do with a Brad Arthur

one that has avoided the bloodbath is Sticky, who got himself an extension

two decades since he won a premiership. Fuck that is a long time.

I will not miss Ricky when he is gone. Teflon-coated when it comes to media scrutiny, and nothing is ever his fault.

@bayimports the heat will be on that guy from day 1. you can see why he is being very choosy about where he goes.

Probably deserves to be in the state of rugby thread, but a funny line tonight from Matty Johns to Fletch.

Fletch was talking about the Piddler on the Roof at the Wallabies v England match. Fletch said, Rugby Australia has banned him from watching rugby anywhere in Australia. To which Johns replied “what’s the punishment though” 😀

Brisbane go to Sydney and smash Parra

Kevvie Walters started as a meme coach. But the job he has done at the Broncos is pretty fucking great (along with the head office). They've cut the culture-killing guys, brought in a real leader at halfback, and the change is dramatic. The Broncos turn up for each other every game, and put in a shift. Yes they have talent, but you also have to work to beat them, because they will defend with everything they have. Last night Parra had a lot of ball in the Brisbane end and came up with fuck all to show for it.
Not saying they can win the comp, but they have come a loooong way in a short space of time.

And so to Parra, who you would swear cannot get near winning the comp. Except for the fact they beat Melbourne when Melbourne were good. And they beat Penrith. Is there a more frustrating team to support out there?

Parra made that many errors last night that even the Tigers and Warriors were in with a chance. If they got a few things right they may have got there. It would be incredibly frustrating as a supporter and a coach!

As for Walters, I still dont see him as a great coach. Whoever signed Reynolds deserves all the credit. From what I heard that was more Ikin getting that started. Renoylds controls that team like a puppet master and you can see it when he is on the field.

Walters deserves some credit, but I am not convinced he is a great coach yet. You could argue Haas was part of the culture problem, but they kept him..

Brisbane on their day are and will be hard to beat, playing with a lot of confidence for sure

I don't know who Sticky has dirty pictures of, perhaps senior management was with Joel Monaghan all those years ago?, but he has an extension until 2025

Noise still buzzing that Storm are chasing Walsh for remainder of the season to cover Papi. Warriors still saying no, but with no hope for remainder of the season and already stupid decisions like letting Lodge go for free killing their salary cap, perhaps an opportunity to get some much needed cash? Unlikely to happen but silly things happen in the NRL daily

i thought that was one of those media guesses that becomes a rumour when enough of them re-tweet each other?

    a 2+2=5 type scenario

Paps gets injured. Walsh gets dropped. ooooh how about Walsh to the Storm?

yeah does sound like one of those stories for sure but apparently Storm legitimately approached even if it was cheeky, still cant see it happening

Ricky being resigned by Canberra for another three years was a good LOL moment when it appeared on the NRL Facebook feed.

The “story” is gathering a bit of momentum, but I haven’t seen Danny Weidler report it, so it can’t be believed….

Joseph Suaalii would already be in the Wallabies if he was in rugby.

Ponga should probably be shut down for the season. He's had 3 concussions in the last 6 weeks.
