Here's the Waikato team. Some of the FPC squad in there too. Obviously, Toka Natua is not that young!

For this team, Juniors must mean Development.

@Bovidae one team names 30 the other 20?

Great for these players to get games post club season but you have to wonder what the idea of 'competition' is here. May as well be a development camp opposed training if it's going to have unlimited subs.

@Crucial I suppose it is also to give some of the wider squad meaningful games before they are needed for the FPC team. If you want to grow the women's game, any match is better than none at all.

To confirm, the Waikato Men's Juniors is U19, while the Women's Junior team is a Development team so no age restriction.

What the hell is going on with all the secrecy on information about the men's NPC squad. Plenty about the women's teams, club teams and junior teams - but nothing bar the odd photo on the defending champions.

Is this a directive from within the team itself? I think the fans deserve an explanation.

I want to know if the McWhannell and Finau injuries are serious for instance.

@ARHS We've discussed the lack of info before, so I don't see that changing. I would expect the women's team to be named shortly and the men's team later this afternoon.

Assuming that team is correct, I'm hoping that Finau is on the bench, purely to accommodate Messam starting.

A heavy TA Sports influence in that team, as they have the same coach.

@Bovidae Yeah, TA recruited heavily in the school leaver space over the last couple of years so I guess its a reflection of that
