Listening to Kent tonight and there seems to be more than meets the eye with this and his opinion is if Sticky comes out and explains what happens all those years ago the public tide would turn in his favour.

No matter what happened and it could be serious and it sounds like family members etc, all you need to do in a media conference when asked a direct question about the incident is to say “I don’t want to comment”.

Hard to tell what bogans will be swayed by, but I couldn't care less if Salmon murdered the Stuart's family dog. I'd quite happily believe Kent doesn't know either.

@antipodean Kent and Sticky are actually good mates, so whilst he talks smack most of the time I'm willing to listen in on this one. It looks like the NRL are trying to get ahead of it and will suspend him for a game regardless.

Considering the kid was 12 I can't even imagine what he could have done that justifies this.

looool fuck you can't believe this. I've finally seen what Kunt has to say and write, and it is fucking delusional. Yeah, Ricky is the strong one here, because he didn't just let out all the shit a 12 year old did 10 fucking years ago.

1 game and $20k is a joke by the way

if nothing else, the term "weak gutted dog person" has made NRL social media fucking hilarious this weekend.

I just find the whole reaction hilarious - journos, “friends”, family, ex players etc.

@mariner4life on the ‘punishment’, they may as well have done nothing. It doesn’t change anything or create a deterrent of any kind.

@ACT-Crusader tbh I'm not sure what sort of handbrake or punishment is ever going to stop Ricky being Ricky. He's been chewing this shit over for years it seems and he's a bloody hair trigger at the best of times. From what I read he's got an axe to grind against the dad as well... no doubt more details will come emerge in usual NRL fashion.

Surprised someone at Ch9 or Fox hasn’t planned one of those awkward sit down one on ones with bad lighting and close ups.

it's fucking perfect by Ricky really

He cops yet another fine, and absolutely no one is talking about how the Raiders fucked up really badly when they needed to win to keep their season alive. 4D chess

in his last 16 years of coaching, Ricky Stuart's teams have played finals 4 times.

@mariner4life Ricky has the most fines out of anyone in the history of the NRL, clearly fines don't work for him which is why they probably added one week suspension. Enough? hardly, but it still raises the ire of Kent..I know I shouldnt be but I am surprised to the extend he is till sticking to Ricky's side. Regardless of what happened over 10 years ago, that doesn't give anyone any right to make those comments in that forum.

it's a pretty dirty way to go about the defense too

zero specifics. just say "if you knew the truth you would take his side" say nothing else (and call it strength for holding your tongue). Just paint the other guy as a vile human without actually saying it, and take the moral high ground.

It would be good if they could do a fight for life so Geyer can legally bash the shit out of Kent.
