Agreed. That's how a game should be reffed. Like night and day compared to Gardiner last week.

That so called “leg lift” against Whitelock was an unnecessary call too. Wasn’t even lifted and had zero effect. Could have been a turning point on the match.

Plus the following two leg lifts that I never saw evidence of.

There weren’t bodies flying in at all angles around the catch area this weekTBF most or all of their reckless challenges last week were by the same player.

Our forwards played well. Loved that we nullified Marx and other Bokkes from trying to get breakdown ball.

Different reffing might have helped that too. Also, maybe Marx only gets free reign on his 50th match?
Fozzie basically just thanked the Fern for helping him lose a kg.

We have Foster to thank for our two finds of the "year". Bower, de Groot and Moody is a tasty loosehead group for RWC.
Plus Newell and an improving Lomax on the TH.

Fucking great Test match. Real character in that performance. Loads of mistakes but key players stepped up when it mattered. Looked far less fragile than in the past. Thought Cane led really well, but you have to question his future - he looked cooked at times out there
Sam W, Ardie & Sami were great, Scott Barrett did his usual shit-load of work and Smith was way better than last week. Frizzell's selection paid off - easily his best game in Black. Reiko was really good at 13 and was more an attacking threat than he has in the past. Clarke & Jordan were dangerous and Jordie had a great game on D - especially under the high ball. Even Havili looked solid.
Big question is if this is a turning point confidence-wise or is it a one-off like Ireland 1. Crossing fingers the improvement will continue against Argentina.

Glad for the players, great to see a smile on the faces, I hope this helps them move forward. We have the building blocks, ST, Ardie, Scott B, De Groot, even Frizell played physical and looked like they gave shit which helps!
Watching I hope they can stick with an attack plan. I thought Smith and Richie running and opening outside gave us momentum.
Moving forward some questions I have. Who is our 2nd hooker? ST has moved far ahead of others. Do we keep bartett at lock or move him to 6 with BBBR? Also Christie has looked sharpe does he deserve more mins?
