Actually had this discussion last night.
I read books, my mate listens to audiobooks.
But sometimes certain books aren't available in that format. So... I suggested I read the book, out loud, and record it. Become an audiobook narrator.
A rather niche one, as I typically read at the pub, so it'd be a gradually drunker and drunker narration, punctuated by beer orders. And then suddenly... back to sober, then drunker and drunker... -

@Kruse I have listened to plenty of audiobooks, and the narrator makes all the difference!
The dude that did most of the GOT books, was awesome (even had a cameo in S1) somethign like 500 character voices and nailed them so well, you knew who it was speaking...i got through them when I had to drive to auckland once a week for a year or so for work

Bacon is fucken awesome. Anyone who doesn’t think so is a fluffybunny
Chuck Norris is vegetarian.
Meaning, he does not eat animals until first he puts them into vegetative state with his fists.
It's because he doesn't like bacon

There’s a lot to love about Gordon Ramsey. Really decent bloke.
…..but he swears, turns red, yells and gets aggressive which is just too much for a few sensitive souls these days. You know what, I can't stand listening to or watching him. He really grates.
But I'm a huge fan of of the bloke because of the way he doesn't use his celebrity status to simply moan about the crap nature of school meals or lack of opportunities for young kids to learn good cooking - he rolls up his sleeves and gets stuck in to actually change things and make a difference. Top bloke for that alone.
I have to completely disagree. Obviously a clear dig at Jamie Oliver here.
If he just moaned then fine but he’s actually put his money / time where his mouth is and properly got stuck in. Ramsay just looks for his next money making venture.
The biggest problem with Oliver is that his food is average. Which is why his restaurants collapsed.

Cook books are a pretty good introduction to cooking though imo. Learning about ingredients maybe not used before and pretty simple.
