    Beaudy is 8 tries away from equalling Howletts record of 49 tries.

      As good as the ABs looked, and were allowed to look, really this result is pretty meaningless for the group unless they back it up in Oz in 12 days time. And again in Eden park afterwards. So I enjoyed this win, but I still feel liked the ABs are shit.

      I hope they prove me wrong

          @Bones Jordan's a fullback, Jordie's a fullback - and neither of them are a patch on Reece on the wing.
          We just need to make a decision instead of trying to squeeze them both onto the field.

          Jordie to 12, easy. He can at least hit the line hard, and rieko and him seen to operate very well together

          Hell yeah, great idea. Just when the midfield is starting to gel and is play well, let's break it up and start all over again with a player who has never played a test at 12. Geezus.

          Totally. Havili is shit, mostly. He's not big enough, and his supposed kicking etc ain't good enough. Jordie is big, hits the line with venom, plays 12 , had played ten for ABs so can distribute, he's basically was more experienced, faster, bigger, Havili, with s bigger boot. If have havili nowhere near the ABs, he's a stop gap that's stuck. Yes he's improved but he's still not good enough.

          You sound like NZR, one good game wipes out two years of mediocrity versus top teams. No way. Same as foster should still be gone after this game, so should havili

          Haha. This is really funny. If you want mediocrity, then keep on changing combos and don't let them gel. What you want sounds very much like what Foster has done the last few years. Don't give combos the chance to get used to each other and develop some automatisms in how they play together (i.e., get a feel of what the other is going to do or where he is, something players usually only develop by playing together a lot). Also very Foster-like: playing players out of position. That has worked so well! 🙄

          Or instead, you could accept that the RWC is only a year away and that the changes to the coaching staff are very recent and need some time to have a positive effect (unless you're a pessimist and don't think they can have a positive effect on the ABs' performance). The squad that we have now will mostly be the squad for the RWC. That's the reality. I don't believe in fairy tales. The time for experiments is over.

              The long road back is consistent wins week after week and not having to put in a great performance because you were embarrassed last week.

                Havili isn't amazing but, he just might be the guy that works as the glue between the enigmatic mounga and Ioane

                Rugby isn't the 15 best players. It's the 15 players who work best as a team.

                Which, on recent evidence, is why Frizzell fry should be the 6. We need these glue guys to allow others to do their thing

                  @Stargazer cool. Well if you think a23 with the ability to win 3 games out of nine is good enough. Good on you. But I don't, what we have is not good enough. Selections, tactics, coaching, mental strength, micro skills, etc are all at a level of quarter final exits that's what we'll get if we stick with this. The fact this is the first time the same 15 had started 3 times in a row in the pro era shows how important using that risk continuity is. Not at all

                      Havili's pop pass to Rieko for the try was lovely. So good I thought it was Mo'unga. Havili and Rieko are looking better the more they play together and look dangerous when our forwards provide a decent platform.

                        So it will be completely drowned out by the AFL build up?

                        They will be lucky if they manage to get the score printed in the paper the day after!

                            @antipodean

                            Havali only really works when our forwards are on top or have parity.

                            He can’t crash his way out of trouble or relieve some pressure by getting over the gainline when we are on the back foot.

                            Not sure if he is the answer for the RWC pressure games But we aren’t exactly blessed in this area.

                            Thought Ioane played well and is starting to grow into the 13 jersey.

                            Jordan is very out of sorts.

                              I've given this some thought and while the ideal is a 12 that's a Ma'a clone on steroids and HGH, the reality is it's the forwards job to provide the platform. I'll take smart over brawn (especially after I watch the Boks).

                              Thankfully there's encouraging signs the last three games.

                                The referee approach made a huge difference tonight. Our forwards were awesome. ST Cane De Groot Ardie all huge. Thought Havili was good too. Only Caleb Clarke was sub par, making same errors as previously. Hope to see Reece in next time. Jordan not at his best but chased well.
                                Vastly better bench with Brodie leading the way.
                                Well done AB's and coaching team. Proud of you all!

                                  @canefan Also shows how desperate Australia are to win, they should not be underestimated.

                                    @Bovidae Laulala's knee doesn't seem right.

                                      I thought Havilli was excellent tonight. Rock-solid all-round performance

                                      In the last few games the likes of Scooter & Frizzell have quietly got stuck in and done the hard yards. Not spectacular and not always winners but working to provide a really solid foundation.

                                          will Argentina be competitive against S Africa? Their forwards look winded.
