Lol, spoken like someone who's never played let alone at centre. And I wish I had his kind of pace.

But certainly not end of... the space was already there, the cutout allowed the defence to slide.

Passing to Jordie holds the defence. Understand? Cutting out a player like that makes it easier for the defence to then slide wider.

I've never been a fan of the big cutout passes on those positions because of the reasons I've explained.

Defending in the centres you hope for such a pass because then you can commit to the slide to cover the outside players.

And then yes, RI should have tucked the ball or passed it sooner.

RI was clearly in two minds as he saw the sliding defence and made a shit pass which Beauden was obviously not expecting.
