Ben Smith ain't that fucken tall. Mind you Ardie Savea was listed at 1.90 so maybe Canes4Life's day job is as AB stat man ?
 
Ya just about only believe the players heights/weights when it comes out of their mouths. It's not boxing, they don't have weigh ins before each test. Ian Jones made his AB debut at 98kg but he reckons the programme makers felt sorry for him and nudged him up to 101kg.
 
Pretty sure Red Beard told me he worked with Richard Loe and he jumped on the scales and hit about 120kg when he was listed at about 108 or something.

If I was the scales, I wouldn't complain to Richard Loe's face. Probably whinge about it afterwards, though.

I met him a few times when I worked at Mediaworks, definitely slimmer than his playing days and a lot friendlier than you'd think. Impossibly to imagine him eye gouging and smashing peoples noses.

Bender would be a good 6'2 and the same height as Conrad. Now if only we had a photo of them standing on their heads side by side to really tell us

I tell Aussies this all the time. Was viscous by Carozza, headbutting Loe like that, while he legitimately tried to prevent a try from being scored.

Grizz is Richard's uncle so it's probably genetic. :)
 
Loe was a stock and station agent and generally regarded as a bit of a hard case in the Alistair Hopkinson mold - but, I think he might be one of those guys that can sort of flick a switch and go somewhere fairly dark.

Here we go, reasonably slim white guys who are ABs are automatically 6 2 by default on this forum.

Actually, from memory, Conrad is the same height as me, and therefore, around the 187 mark.

I meant they are the best 3 current options as AB starters. Fekitoa, I think, would make the ideal impact sub as he offers something different. At the risk of repeating myself, Fekitoa could be useful as a 2nd 5 if told just to run straight and tackle anything that comes his way. Centre requires a more rounded game which he lacks.
 
But as you say, Fekitoa would have to be rated the no.1 midfielder of these 4 by the selectors based on last year.
