Oh yeah I forgot about cats. Some of Sean Lock's best moments.

@Frank said in The hot takes and unpopular opinions:

Robin Williams was never that funny. (1 in 10 jokes landed)

Nick Cave is pretentious as fuck.

Friends was weak American comedy, still is American comedy, and will always be weak American comedy.

John Cleese has not even been mildly funny since A Fish Called Wanda.

British gameshows with comedians on them generally add up to way less than the sum of their parts.

A great resurrection to the thread and not at all unpopular in the male side of the Cato household.

I didn’t like Robin Williams much, ‘oh let’s throw 27 different impersonations into a single interview’ sooooooooo clever, sooooooo talented…..so fucken irritating more like.

Good Morning Vietnam was ok though.

Nick Caves music makes me think of funerals.

Friends wasn’t really that good overall.

John Cleese is an angry old man although his rants about Palmerston North are spot on.

What was the other one ?

John Mayer is a fantastic musician.

Jazz is too complicated for the average bear but their are some good catchy stuff like:

Just truncate it for the noobs at 2 mins otherwise it is beyond their attention spans.

Or any Bossa Nova popular hits like Girl from Ipanema and Mas que nada:

    Elevator going up.

I agree with all but the last. There's some good British gameshows (in comparison to other markets)..

I thought this a pretty well known take and popular opinion?

    1. Totally agree. Actually liked him alot as a dramatic actor but was painfully unfunny sometimes.

    2. No shit.

    3. Nail on head. Some scenes are genuinely funny but God so much shit. That Phoebe was so crap.

    4. Probably. Couldn't tell you what he's been in since other than that pitiful zoo film. I think he may have voiced a Shrek film as well.

    5. Disagree. Some absolute crackers.

It was a comedy? I thought it was a feminist piece about Anistonopolous' nipples.

Saying you’re a good muso is such a “jazz” thing.

Joey was good value. Chandler was too on occasion. Ross was just a dick ( and actually not a nice person either ? )

Monica and Rachel at least had the hot thing going and they had their moments. Couldn’t agree more about Phoebe, I think I’d rather have my fingernails ripped out than catch up with my friends and listen to her sing in a cafe.

Same thing. I bet you hit “wrong” notes and blame all the guys you’re jamming with 😉
