4th episode of Andor, clearly another “set up” story because there was…..

…..absolutely NO action whatsoever. For a Star Wars nut like me ducking to avoid tie fighters doesn’t cut it I’m afraid. Was hoping Andor and that chick would encounter some kind of Alien on their trek through the
Scottish Highlandsplanet they were on…..but no.Mon Mothmas little breakdown at the thought of a dinner party belonged in a different show as well.
Sigh, will keep watching though

Shall we just warn you when there is an action scene?
I'm enjoying it. Agree that the scene you mention was a bit clumsy in providing a view to the situation though.
This is two series of 12 eps isn't it? I'm not expecting action all the time. I do like seeing the universe details though. Also loved that Mon Motha's vehicle gave strong vibes to Lady Penelope's FAB1.
Story is setting up for the first big action against the Empire though.

Imperial guy and his Mum……who gives a fuck and how is it relevant to the main story ? We never saw Moff Tarkin, General Veers or whoever having family time…..
Mon Mothma and her Hubby and daughter……..see above……
Andor and his gang of rogues……do we really need to see another episode of planning and discussing ? Han and Chewie never fucked around with that shit before a heist, they just got straight in there…..
Fairly sure I didn’t see a single droid or alien…….this is NOT Star Wars.

I get that you like SW as light action based stories but I still quite like this more 'in-depth' story telling for a change.
There are certainly bits that I hope will become relevant as the story progresses and it has probably gone one ep too long before the action.
I am happy to continue the ride. -

I get that you like SW as light action based stories but I still quite like this more 'in-depth' story telling for a change.
There are certainly bits that I hope will become relevant as the story progresses and it has probably gone one ep too long before the action.
I am happy to continue the ride.I’m nothing if not predictable when it comes to SW.
But to me the balance is all fucked, they’ve gone from one ridiculous extreme ( Finn screaming Rey, Rose being Rose, Rey being overpowered etc ) to what we have now.
I’m still sticking the course ( because it’s SW ) and I hope it pays off.

I see it as different treatments for different audiences. There's a whole 50+ SW loving audience out there that likes the 'big kid' stuff but can also handle a 'what if this was real' type show as well.
One day I would love to see the sequel stuff somehow relegated but that could also get very messy so best to let it drift away.
Between Mando and the upcoming Ahsoka, with Thrawn and Ezra being brought to life, I think there will be plenty of fast paced action shows. Then there are more animated shows like another series of Bad Batch to fill in some gaps. -
I'm really liking Andor, wish it had been dropped in one go though.
Essentially Star Wars will never keep anyone happy. We've moved on from the previous shows are too aimed at kids to now this one which is more adult skewing is too slow. For me, almost everything Disney has done (bar Rise and the stupidity of making a Boba Fett story not all about him) has been better than the prequels which is my low bar. So I'm happy.
The mother was fucking annoying, but she was meant to be.

@MN5 i remember hearing mcgregor say he has all of Guinness's line isolated onto a cassette (as it would have been in 1999) and he would site there between scenes listening to it working on all the aspects of the obi wan voice

…..I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again ( and probably again )……when I read in the Sunday Star Times ( or news ) while having a hungover morning fry up sometime in 1998 that the skinny wasted guy from Trainspotting was going to be playing a character as iconic as that it made me sick to my stomach.
He could not have possibly proved me more wrong.
