Bear - just have the last ep to go.

Fantastic scripting, acting, direction, filming etc. Interesting characters. I am enjoying it but in all of its search for authenticity every now and then it does something really jarring on the food front.
    ##spoiler
an example would be the pastry chef dude, after all of his dedication and study toward making a perfect donut gets a 'revelation' to use a yeasted dough rather than a cake one. WTF? Donuts are a yeasted dough. That's your start point.

I've never worked in a US kitchen or for a US chef but I think the obsession levels and toxic environments are actually realistic over there. The kitchen talk and constant 'yes chef' stuff is well overdone from my experience but I do understand that's how they have taken something and become over-serious with it.
I will disagree with the notion the he worked like that at Noma though. Noma is well known as a very quiet zen like kitchen and not a place of high stress

Cracks me up that you considered that worthy of a spoiler hidey-thingee 😁. Kudos for your concern for us!

Great fucking series, huge Shameless fan of Lip, but reallt loved the girl in this.

couldn't help think I was watching Lip for a couple of episodes.. great series this one though

Me too, thought they should have set it in a different city than Chicago to help remove some of that similarity.

Yes, only 8 episodes. I assume there will be a season 4.

Bad Sisters is still a good watch but probably stretched by a couple of eps too many as it is becoming fairly obvious by now where it is going.

    ##spoiler
My guess is that the wife finally cracks and kills him. The story has been going through each sister's personal reasons to want the prick dead but having vengeance backfire (pretty obvious that the old girl just got frozen). Not sure how the insurance thing pans out but I'm guessing that they stop the claim by mutual agreement as both parties are in the shit.

    Dahmer

Certainly not something you say you enjoyed, but was an intriguing watch.

Thought Evan Peters was excellent as Dahmer too.

    ##spoiler
I could not remember if he was still in prison, and didnt google to find out, but how he met his death was entirely predictable, and somewhat poetic given how he killed his first victim.

    Good riddance.

I guess in the days before internet a lot of his fellow prisoners wouldn’t have known straight away what he was actually in for.

I felt for his Dad and stepmum, as parents we all have trying moments with our kids but fucken hell, that was as bad as it could possibly get.

You’re right, amazing performances from all involved. Evan Peters was always a great watch in American Horror Story. He has decent range and then some !

Watching The Appointment, the other day, reminds me that I need to revisit the classic British TV miniseries, The Green Man.

The Green Man (TV Mini Series 1990) ⭐ 7.0 | Comedy, Horror

    Crossfire
Accidentally skipped episode 2, due to a sky fuck up and didn't realise until the end of episode 3 (of 3). In the end, really fucking glad we didn't sit through another hour, as episode 3 almost seemed to start where episode 1 finished.

    Tldr: Don't bother.

Unless, like me, you have a soft spot for Anneika Rose

@MiketheSnow shows how episode 2 must have been an absolute pile of wank.

Might have to watch it just to see more of Anneika in that dress though.

    S5 of Seal Team.

A guilty pleasure of mine this series.

But gee, while I've always thought Hayes (Boreanaz) is a bit of a cock, he was even more unlikeable for 12 of the 14 eps this time round, and they put in a bit much drama between the team this series as well, I think S6 will be the final season, so happy to see where it ends, especially the way this season ended

I’m currently 2 episodes in and quite enjoying it. Nicole Kidman is freaky. I also just found out Melissa McCarthy and the bearded American bloke are married in real life evidently.

The second episode starts incredibly strongly:

Angry chief: Goddamn it Hammer, don't you understand! The mayor is this close to gutting this whole department!

Sledge Hammer: I think I understand perfectly: you want me to kill the mayor.
