Ironic is a massive mindfuck for me. Nothing she says is ironic, it's all just shithouse luck. So I wonder if the irony is in the song title being called ironic.
Rest is a bit meh for me, but I acknowledge it has it's place in history. My GF at the time absolutely worshipped the album so it does bring back a few memories.

Classic case of someone dying young and being lauded far beyond his actual talent and achievements.
Hate to say it, but there's a bit of this with Kobe Bryant. He's top 12ish for me, people elevated him up to MJ/LeBron posthumously.

My hot takes:
- Tennis is overrated. If you need some indecipherable wank scoring system to create drama, then your game is shit.
- Car drivers are the bigger dickheads, not cyclists.
- Cats are awful. Dogs a bit better, but most people who own them indulge them too much.
- Fireworks are hugely overrated. People who film them are morons.
- Angela Rayner is unexpectedly attractive.
- Being able to ride a horse is a very underrated skill.
- Very few things are more satisfying than a well maintenened and freshly mown lawn (probably not a hot take really).
- Gavin & Stacey is the best sitcom ever made.
Also, agree that UK comedians once they do panel shows are on the downhill slide. And that Bob Mortimer + Would I Lie To You is a match made in heaven.

Never watched G & S, but do enjoy a British comedian panel show.

I'd say some car drivers are but as a group cyclists take it. Every single time I ride in a car in Sydney (which isn't too frequent as I like to walk) I see a cyclist doing something fucking idiotic. Bike couriers are some of the worst and the greatest pleasure I've seen in recent years is two of them crashing into each other and then getting up and having a slap fight over it. I've too often seen them hit pedestrians to have any sympathy.

You're lucky you don't live near me, it's fireworks every night from Darling Harbour - but it does help me timewise, I always know when it's 8:30pm during the week and 9pm on Saturdays.
