Pretty sure I saw Tremor 3 on a double-bill with Sharknado VII

Iron Eagle 4 - On the Attack

    • Not very good
    • Titwatch: zero
      • Probably for the best, as main cast are teenagers... very young teenagers, not 'barely legal girls gone wild' teenagers

    4.2 "that's ridiculous" out of 5 "that's just irresponsible"

    Fuck you, Iron Eagle sequels.

(As I typed that - I suddenly recalled.... a few years back, I watched every Tremors movie in fairly quick succession... and upon finishing, then discovered there was yet another one just finished filming, due for release. I really fucking hope that isn't true for Iron Eagle.)

There’s more than one Tremors movie?

SEVEN... there's bloody SEVEN Tremors movies.
Surprisingly - Kevin Bacon hasn't reprised his role in ANY of the sequels.
I wish I hadn't had that flashback to my Tremors binge ... as it reminded me I've still never seen number 7... which I guess I should tick off ASAP.

    Tremors - classic
According to some less refined reviewers...
2 - "... one of the best direct-to-video sequels ever made." That's some pretty sweet qualified praise.
3 - "a jarring step down in quality from its predecessor"
4 - "noticeably better than [3] in certain aspects, but also noticeably worse in others"
5 - "a worthy sequel and gives the long dormant series a much-needed jolt" OR "beyond-generic reboot ... .... it brings absolutely nothing noteworthy to the table"
6 - "so bad it's nearly unwatchable ... ...made by people who absolutely loathe Tremors and want to insult the fans as much as possible".
Tremors 7... I'm not going to ruin the surprise.

Still the best movies, at least the best multiples of moves, ever

    Entertainment

'I'm shooting this f***ing film': How the Battle of Helm's Deep almost ruined Peter Jackson

'I'm shooting this f***ing film': How the Battle of Helm's Deep almost ruined Peter Jackson

Making The Two Towers' hellish 40-minute siege scene was a battle in itself.

Sheeit - that does look good.
Always such a promising sign when the same person's name appears as Writer, Director, AND in the cast (as "Warrior Knight").
Aaaand... sure enough, his wife is the leading actress.

ive said ti so many times, im always surprised more film series aren't all filmed back to back and released in subsequent years like LotR was, always felt it it had proved the benefits..when you see series now where actors noticeably age between movies that are supposed to have no time between them, or the style changes...and yes the new style might look better but really aften just makes the original look cheap or something...or actors die and have to re cast

edit: reading that....really want to re watch...have the extended editions here somewhere

Dude has made a lot of Christmas TV movies, presumably for Hallmark, which probably financed this film.

I look forward to your review.

Vampyres (1974) - re-release/restoration of a forgotten British horror classic.

Actually really, really good. Think high Hammer production values minus the usual pointed-teeth vampire shit but with more suspense, atmosphere, mysticism, Sapphic love and a high tit-watch index.

My best ever movie decision was choosing Inventing the Abbots at the cinema mostly because Liv Tyler was on the poster.

It was Liv who when topless Connelly appeared on screen.

    Tragic either way.
