I'll take your pesky brambles and raise with Bougainvillea.

One of the most annoying garden projects I've done is remove a significantly overgrown Bougainvillea. After about two minutes I would have happily used a flamethrower, had it not been intertwined with a large wooden fence...

Depending on how much you have to clear, boiling water straight from the kettle will fuck any plant if you pour enough into the roots

Bit late when the fucker has fucked your hand...

This one required significant pruning to get anywhere near the roots. By the time I was finished, what remained of the roots in-ground (entangled in concrete) had undiluted Roundup applied out of sheer spite! 🙂

I'm glad they can survive without me because I prefer it this way. Hence both of us are happy.

I have been a little bit tainted though because occasionally I have go to a cat lady house/mobile home. Something about old ladies who can not look after themselves but attract any cat within a 10 mile radius. There is always an awful stench (cat box or urine) and accentuated in 100° plus weather.

Yuk. Cats are outdoor creatures and hunters and shouldn't be kept inside as toys. It's cruel and people who do that deserve this:

Hate Cats. Smelliest craps around and your cat bin doesn't help. Independent so they need to be outside and hunt mice for their lunch.

Cats are awesome. Intelligent, friendly, clean, incredibly athletic animals. They become very attached to you, will rush up to you and greet you, purr and lick you hand but, unlike dogs, won't wait to be be given an order - they have dignity. Magnificent creatures who can happily survive without you but prefer your company.

Not that dogs aren't great. My farmer mate has a black Lab who is always with him and their relationship is wonderful, but for me, they are a bit too needy and subservient.

I used to agree wholeheartedly with the first statement but unfortunately have had the displeasure of encountering some pretty nasty fůcker cats in recent times. My ex gfs cat was an absolute mongoloid . Stupid ginger cnut. But a good cat is the best pet. Clean, quiet and low maintenance.

Dogs on the other hand are the complete opposite

In my experience dogs can be divided into 3 categories:
    (1) Tiny, yappy fůckers who run at the first sign of danger. Basically canine versions of Nick White.
    (2) Psychopathic killers that will rip you to threads if not restrained. Hannibal Lector dogs.
    (3) Harmless and good-hearted but absolutely and utterly retarded. Desperately needy and will inhale any food or anything resembling food that may be lying around. Like hyperactive toddlers who never grow up. Ever see a group of Dalmatians together? It's like mental home residents high on cocaine.

Mrs Womble almost had to have her hand amputated last year due to a cycas in the back yard, one tiny prick in the finger whilst gardening....next week she had full blown sepsis and a week in hospital having surgery...will always look at them sideways

Some can be psychos. Family member had a rescue cat which used to change into the claws of death for no rhyme nor reason.

Our previous cat (in many ways my first) was a ginger queen. Wary of strangers but loved our company and liked to climb into bed with us when we were asleep (there's something incredibly disconcerting about waking up with the head of cat on your pillow...).

Awesome hunter. One of my fondest memories is of her blind-siding a squirrel and despatching the little fucker in one hit. Man, I was proud of her.

Fence, retaining wall, plumbing, gate, concrete... Overgrown shrubs can be expensive. Ask me how I know. 😞

That is cat 101. Befriend the weak. When they die you eat them lying next to their bed. Start with the eyelids.

On the other hand, cats should not be allowed outdoors in countries like Australia because they kill native fauna.
