The hot takes and unpopular opinions

I don't actually know of any of their music, but... as they are apparently quite popular, I assume I've been hearing them all the fucking time
Same - so I did some research
They don't sound particularly up themselves - just really lucky. Mind you article is 4 years old
I did further research and yes I do recognise the two I played (first 30 seconds of). Sounds like what's playing in the supermarket when I go shopping. Bland as an art form.
I agree with @MN5 - they are boring as fuck - and laughing all the way to the bank.

@Crucial i also heard the fame went straight to their heads and they became dicks, real "do you know who i am" vibes
I know one of them well enough to chat to and the last time I saw him he didn't appear to be a dickhead.
I actually only know one of their songs though.
One more than me. In both cases.

I'm staying willfully ignorant.
I keep thinking I should look them up, and at least be aware of what it is I'm dismissing. And typically feel disdain for people who seem "proudly ignorant" of anything. But in this case... willing to be a hypocrite. -
So it looks like my post was neither a hot take or an unpopular opinion.
I donât really care what genre they play, they and their music are simply boring as fuck and I canât fathom their popularity.
The lead singer looks like an accounting clerk dressed by his mum for casual Fridays. Where do you even buy pleated chinos?
They take the average guy vibe to its lowest extremes -

They canât be the biggest band in NZ history.
Surely not.

I like the scrambled eggs hotels serve.
Bit of a general statement but I can run with that. Sometimes itâs all about timing.
By timing I donât mean the eggs but arriving at them at the same time as the hot chick that you spotted walking in. -

Thatâs what I thought when arriving back from overseas. They sell out big stadiums ffs!

Monster.

It depends if they're hot, if hot I agree. I assume you're meaning at the buffet breakfast?
Similarly, I like plane food, I always just wish there is more of it.

Oh, yeah. âwe love Wagsâ
Fuck off.
He's a flat track bully constantly bowling bodyline at tailenders.
Since when did we countenance that?
I get that he âputs his heart into itâ, âplays his guts outâ, etc, etc..
But he plays like a fluffybunny. And I don't think he represents either NZ, nor the facile âPlay hard but play fairâ ethos we've adopted.
Hypocritical as fuck.
Too drunk to debate this tonight. Or ever. Happy to watch the shitstorm though... -
@MajorRage I rarely eat breakfast, but been away at conference last week and had the hotel buffet every morning, with said scrambled eggs.

Even though I just did
Even just âlikingâ Wags is worthy of a ban on here.

If he played for any other team, we'd be abusing him as a dirty fluffybunny.
I genuinely don't like him representing my country. Not Richard Loe levels, but... still. -
Wags bowls like a slightly quicker Craig Macmillan
