About to finish the last season of Stranger Things and it’s possibly the best yet.
Really cool how there’s essentially four different groups all going through different trials and tribulations. The cutting between scenes is very well done.
It’s a bit of a load of bullshit that the kids are scared of the school jocks but not of monsters but maybe that’s a minor gripe.
WIll probably finish up tonight, good fun show !
I haven't watched it yet due to the episode lengths. I want to watch it but every time I sit down to watch a new show I see the lengths and then choose a usual 45-60 min show.
Maybe I should try watching one episode a week on the weekend

Haha, yes it is. But I actually have quite a lot going on during week days - coffees, lunches, movies etc.
Although the weather is so shit at the moment I may as well just binge it while keeping dry.

Same, felt like a kids show to me. Gave up halfway through E2

Peacemaker
This is pretty cool!
Plenty of gratuitous violence, doesnt take itself seriously, just good fun, Eagley is awesome!
Love the intro song and dance!

Finished off S4 of What We Do in the Shadows. Still plenty of laughs but some episodes are better than others. They do manage to continue with the cameo appearances.
It has always been a bit hot and cold, especially as the writers come up with more and more crazy scenarios to keep the premise alive. I quite liked the way Colin Robinson 'died' then grew again as a concept. Thought that was clever.

a weird one...The Witcher...i really like it and think cavill does a great job...announced over the weekend he's not coming back for season 4, and is being replaced with Liam Hemsworth...will watch...at least theyve picked a big dude...and there is enough footage for him just to try and copy cavill....but generally im not a fan of re casting
-
@Bovidae yeah, thought the same, i do think i heard they were going straight into filming S4 as both had been green lit so would have come out pretty quick
edit: sounds like known super nerd cavill may have fallen out with some of the writers or at least not been a fan of what they were writing

The Resort
Okay, yeah - kinda enjoyed this.
Just the right mix of whimsy and cynicism.
Some mystery, I guess? But not really. Storyline wasn't really the highlight, it mostly came down to the characters.
Maybe the first half of the series - storyline was a factor? But 2nd half... pure character-driven. And yeah - just a nicely balanced cocktail of angst, whimsy, dementia, heartbreak, youthful hope, blah, blah, fucking blah.Tit-watch: zero.
Twist-watch: average.4 wacky-latino-characters out of 5 semi-wacky-gringo-characters.

@Bones a 2nd season? While I largely enjoyed it (ending was weak) not sure I'll be in for a 2nd season.
I'll cancel our date night then.

Yeah - thinking about it this morning.... the ending was "weak" - but I also kinda respected that.
With "time travel" being involved... there's always the temptation/expectation for some kind of "twist".
Which - they didn't do. (Or... did they?)##spoiler
The kid exhibiting the same symptoms of "memory-leak"... does that just mean that it is a common side-effect of Pasaje? OR... is he a child version of the crazy-santa guy... who "later" actually travels back in time? Would be one explanation for the 'prescient scene' in the mural.
##endspoilerI will be back for S2. I can see it going quite well, or quite wrong. If they try TOO much to be TOO clever, they might fuck it up. But... I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now, give it a go, and see what they do with it.
