he's not been 'into her' for some time now, this will surely push him over the edge, assume in that scene, he is just thnking WTF...my son, er nephew was king, now my lover, er sister is sitting on the throne.....he will know the only reason she is there, is Tommen is dead, and surely he will be able to work the rest out for himself.

Enjoyed that probably more then any other episode as there were some good twists and turns in it.

Is Sansa playing littlefinger or is she still not immune to his influence. Seems like its impossible to get through a dinner in winterfell without someone declaring someone else the king of the NORF!! I liked Aryas revenge on the freys and the nod to the rat king. But suspect she just lopped a thumb off and stuck it in that pie. The logistics of butchering two fully grown men then preparing them in a pie seems like quite an undertaking. Brienne can't be too far away I wonder if they will team up. Well I say too far away it seems some people have jetpacks and others move at somewhat more leisurely pace.

Lancels stabbing highlighted how dumb Aryas survival was. Also poor Meera is she expected to just lug Bran over that wall by herself.

Anyway 10 months to wait and find out I guess.

Yeah, so Jamie or Tyrion. Tyrion wouldn't hesitate if given half a chance, but she is in more immediate danger from Jamie who I think is more level headed then her and cares for his children more. He will be beyond pissed about Tommen.

the one think I didn't get was I was pretty adament Margaery was ploting to axe the high sparrow and had just been playing along to get her bro out of dodge..

cause she kinda went from having conversations with him when she visited him about staying strong blah blah blah and not breaking.. then all of a sudden she was the best bud of the sparrow and converted the king in 30 secs flat. I thought the only way she could do that would be if she was scheming

still not a hundy that she wasn't plannign something - she still didn't have her bro back (and was pi$$ed about him getting marked, if she was a true believer she wouldn't have cared).. plus she slipped that message to her gran

or did I miss something and she did become a true convert somewhere??

Doesn't matter now she's just a pile of green goo!
But yeah pretty sure she was playing along, don't think she was planning to off the HS, she just wanted to get her brother out of there. Unmarked of course, and umm alive

That wildfire is pretty effective stuff. Why isn't it used on the battlefield all the time? Fire a catapult with the stuff at an army, then unleash flaming arrows. Boom.

That season just got better and better. I watched the last 5 episodes in the last 2 nights. It started slow, but fuck by the end it was nearly the best (behind the first, RS is right, it's fucking brilliant).

Cracker of a battle scene, but if JS is going to be king, he needs to work on his impulse control a bit, he was pretty much dug out of the shit by his sister.

Good to see Ramsay get a solid comeuppance. Beaten to a pulp, and then eaten. Nice. Sansa has the best character arc in the show i reckon, look at her in the first 2 episodes of S1, to a girl who walks off smirking while some fluffybunny gets eaten in the background, quite the turnaround.

I like LF, he's a smart, driven, calculating, ruthless motherfucker. He's also pretty amusing, it's just easy to miss because everything is said in the same tone. Baron's question is a good one, why doesn't he get more love? Good writing really. Everyone is fucked in the head, but we end up rooting for the same people.

I quite enjoyed just how quickly dragon tits put an end to that little war. "what's that? you want me to surrender? allow me to retort, with these 3 big, fire breathing motherfuckers, and this horde i found". Eat all of the dick slaver dudes.

Cersei is not the brightest, but that is a cold ass bitch. Surely she is royally fucked now though.

And so we have progressed to a pretty good point. Main characters are positioned, a few have come back in to the story, and everyone is heading towards one point. About time.

Having stayed away from this thread I must say it is amusing to read all the comments with the benefit of hindsight.

Wellll not all the comments the bitch fight Translator v Fish girl got dull real quick but otherwise

This season sucks. Its so bad. Nothings happening. Man its boring. Writers are worst ever

What a great battle. Although there were loads of logic flaws and there are still way too many pointless plot lines and next week will be a massive disappointment

Amazing. Fucking immense. Writers are genius. Plot lines all coming together nicely. Possibly best season ever.

:)

Not saying I would have been any better although I've quite liked all this season - but has been a fun read the last dozen pages in one go

I watched the last season over a week. It's the way to do it. If I didn't have kids, I think I would have done it over an evening.

I'm glad Arya is sort of done with that faceless man shit. Christ that got boring. Loved her final scene though when she kills that bloke.

I think Sam's story maybe over now too, which is a good thing, as even though he's the only character I think I could actually be, he's a bit dull.

This season was disappointingly lacking in white walkers. A decent enough fight ending in Hodor's death, but I dig those guys.

I think next season we are going to see Cersei take it to new levels. Can't wait!

I think you will find Sam won't be over, in fact I imagine he might be of greater importance now. He's in the most knowledgeable location in Westeros.
He might find how to make dragon glass or wildfire, might even find clues regarding Jons parents..

I thought Jon Snow's parents was sorted now? He's half Stark / Half Targareyn, no?

We know who his parents are but no one in Westeros do ( except Bran, Howland Reed)
His birth won't be recorded but there's a chance Rhagaer and Lyana secretly married. That could be in there

Plus Sam needs to update them with Castle Black!

As Virgil mentions, I think Sam will play a very big role. There must very good reasons for him being in Oldtown and nicking his dad's sword.

Agreed M4L, an absolutely smashing end to what had been up until then, a seemlingly fairly average season. But when viewed together it is definitely a season where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

Those earlier episodes, whilst often boardering on the mundane and were frustrating by the pacing and seeming lack of progress, in actuality set up the extrordinary last two episdoes to make it truly a fantastic season.

I got home last night, being Monday and normally I'm chomping at the bit to sit down and watch GoT, and suffered mild depression that the season is actually over and we are all going to have to wait 3/4 of a year before we get our next fix.

So with two seasons to go

Season 7

The battle for the Iron Throne

Queen Cersei and whatever support she might have left versus Dany, and the combined might of High Garden and Dorne

Obviously Jon Snow will chose a side and that will most likely be alongside Dany as it is revealed he is half Stark, half Targaryen and will naturally support his cousin(?).

Arya the assasin will make her way through her list and maybe remove Cersei herself meaning a war for the IT is not required, or will she be reunited with Jon and Sansa first rather than going on a killing spree?

No doubt, a significant subplot will be the rise of Night's King and the Others, in particular chasing Bran through the wall and into the Stark lands and the lower part of Westeros.

The one thing that will shit me is if Bran actually does cross the wall knowning that by doing so, he will compromise the magic spells that have been woven into the wall and allow the Others and their un-dead army to pass the one barrier that stops them from crossing into the southern lands.

Season 8

The final battle for Westeros

Dany, Jon, Bran, etc versus the Night's King and the rest of the Others and their undead army

Dragons taking on the undead with fire. We know that wights must be burned but we don't know the effect of fire on one of the Others.

The good guys need to gather as much Valaryian steel and dragon glass as they can find.

For me, GRRM had better get this next book out by then. He's released a number of chapters, which I have refused to read but as yet, no release date has been set for the Winds of Winter.
