Stokes and Woakes deny the Aussie blokes. Entertaining.

It’s a satisfying feeling knowing that it was our win against them that put them immediately on the back foot and they were chasing their tails for the rest of the tournament. The Aussie media are getting stuck in too.

The last five overs of the Sri Lankan innings turned out to be game changing in the end. Another 10 - 15 runs there and Oz would have been very happy with the result.. .

It would be just like the jammy Aussies to fluke their way into the semis and win it all. I would not want to play them in the final.

I've been thinking that all day.

England must kill them off here and now.

Just don't do it inside 6.2 overs so we stay top of the group

Yeah I’d much rather face someone other than India in the semi final.

I reckon the Indians might be saying that about us as well.

Looking at the runs for and against, we've been the most damaging batting side and grouped among the best bowling sides in the tournament.

Unfortunately, it's a bit of an on-the-day crapshoot so that doesn't mean much, but we've also been a bit of a bogey side for India in World tournaments.

Fair to say we have been the Indian's bogey team in recent tournaments

I am not sure there is much between facing India, South Africa or Pakistan. We could win and lose against each of them.

If I had to pick, I probably prefer to play Pakistan, but they thrashed us in the final of our warmup tournament, so it's a total lottery.

    Yeah.

Not sure I would quite go that far myself. But I think the point is that it's a much of a muchness.

SA need to be a little bit careful here. They seemed to be cruising against Netherlands in a chase of 159, but they're now 3 down with 2 new batsman in the middle and need 9 an over off the last 10 overs.

Cricinfo "win predictor" has Netherlands as slight favourites. I wouldn't go that far, but SA do need to play well from here.

60 off the last 6 with 6 wickets in hand. You'd think Saffers should bring this home but batting does not look easy.

    Great catch!

Herschelle Gibbs gets another nervous beer from the fridge.

Great catch. Running hard with the ball coming over the shoulder are impossibly difficult catches to take.

He’ll be drunk by the end of the over…
