Second post on why I 100% don't get Dylan.
 
It makes me feel like somebody who voted for Brexit because I generally didn't like the European Union. There's a whole lot of "experts" telling me what I actually think, and seem to be incapable of accepting that I don't like Dylan.
 
It's just madness. And why, I just don't get Dylan.

music is personal taste - if you don't like something you don't like it and that's sweet as. i'm just saying that i think his songs are good, some of them great, and pointing out that if you are turned off by his voice (which many people are, including me initially), there are a heap of covers by people with completely different voices which are worth a crack.

We aren't wrong, he just doesn't like Dylan, and I don't get him.

Colour me slow but I don't understand. What is it that was 100% why you don't get Dylan. 
Personally I don't have any issues with ppl not liking any artist. It was the most over-rated and other arbitrary comments I thought OTT. 
I don't like a lot of country and find it too easy to lampoon the whole the dog ran off with my best friend and the wife died thing but I can understand the musical influence the genres had.

I'm getting a sense that you're trying to be a touch condescending simply because I have the audacity not to like Dylan. I love Hendrix and I love GnR, guess what ? I think their versions of Dylans songs are pretty shit. Heavens doors, Jokers, thieves, Hurricane Carter, Tambourine Men.......I guess I'll just have to live in ignorance that I don't get the deep lyrical meaning of whatever he's garbling about......

You're right of course, plenty of people have covered his stuff, a huge number.
 
Reminds me of GnR covering "Live and Let Die" around the same time as doing Dylan.....despite loving Axl, Slash and the boys give me Sir Paul Maccas version any day of the week although that may have something to do with loving the song cos it's the title track to one of the better Roger Moore Bond flicks.

I feel the same way about Bond movies as you do about Dylan, I think they are over rated rubbish . Most of them are full of cheesy puns and action scenes straight out of the batman tv series too.

I've never seen Quantico , her and Alexandra Daddario are in the Baywatch movie though .The plot and acting could resemble a 90 minute Briscoes ad and it would still be worth watching.

Some of the action scenes in early Connery flicks are questionable I agree.......
 
but the series as a whole is second only to Star Wars in awesomeness.
