I thought that shoulder charges were now penalised in RL? Obviously not.

I assume Oz v NZ follows Origin rules and anything goes for the 80 minutes.

You miss a bit in real time even the commentators jokingly suggest “captains challenge” which is an NRL rule only.

Fair point though that they were missed

Was an entertaining game regardless, a pity as @Nepia said it wasn’t the final.

Loved the intensity and the fact we didn’t back down.

Thought we blew it in the 72 minute with our break and Hughes puts the kick in for Hiku in the corner. We still had tackles up our sleeves and an opportunity for a repeated attack.

Anyway enjoyable watch, hope this kiwi team turns up for future clashes. Good luck Samoa.

It was a fantastic final and we were right in the whole game which you can’t asked for more when playing the Aussies. Both teams looked stuffed in the last couple of minutes.

That kick when we made that break was an argh moment but and I would’ve like to have set up a higher percentage play than that with tackles up our sleeve, despite having them on the back foot.

Have to take your hat off to the Kangaroo defence.

So buying home flights wasn't disrespectful but correct. I hope the Kiwis apologise for the excellent foresight of the organisers. Because they were never going to win

Is that a subtle sling at the officiating or superb hindsight?

England Samoa goes into golden point extra time. 26-26. Huge brave effort from Samoa.

Samoa with the worst drop goal attempt I've seen in some time. Charged down.

With no disrespect to Samoa , Australia will win that with ease .

Nz v Australia was always going to be the game of the tournament and should have been the final , surely when preparing your fixture , your 1 and 2 ranked sides should be set up to meet that way without upsets . 3 set up to meet 2 , and 4 set up to meet 1 in the semis etc .

@kiwiinmelb haven't England had the better of New Zealand recently?

NZ were ranked number one. (Don't ask me why exactly).

    Two sensational semi finals.

Final doesn’t have a hope in hell of matching the semis.

Aus will win something like 36-10.

What a turnaround from Samoa. That 60 point hiding means nothing to England now.

We beat Great Britain twice in 2019. England beat us the year before 3 games to one (but we beat Australia).

I despise when good things happen to Jerome luai

And thus I hope Australia win the final by 30

That said, the very best chance international league has of doing anything (that chance is .5%) is Samoa winning.

    So Samoa by 10.

Where does your Luai hate come from? 🙂

I dislike him for captaining the Junior Kiwis and then switching to Origin and Samoa, but, I'd much rather Samoa win even with him.

I'm just glad I have a team to support in the final now instead of hate watching both teams.

Because he is the king flog of the NRL right now.

    The undisputed king.

Massive mouth despite being responsible for about nothing at Penrith. Floats around like an extra centre Because Yeo and cleary and Edwards do the heavy lifting. Is just a grade A flog. A downhill skier who carries on like he's a cornerstone of their success. A pox on his house.
