The lineout battle should be interesting. England has only two jumpers. With four LO specialists, I hope the ABs will compete on each opposition's throw.

BBBRs 100th test. Coming off his suspension I hope he comes out firing, and if we play a more direct game plan to set a platform as we did vs Wales that will give us a great chance to win

South Africa bludgeoned England last November but lacked the incisiveness to turn their overwhelming territory and possession into points and scoreboard pressure. England have the capability to score something out of nothing. Almost like a role reversal between NZ and England 🙂

Most interesting point of selection for me Scott Barrett at 6.

I thought it would happen, but it's confirmation we want to play very physical and tight with more emphasis on forward power than in previous years.

We have come full circle right back to RWC semi again.
Scooter at 6 and the dual playmakers 10/15

    Hopefully Einstein was wrong

Don't forget that they benched Sam Cane and that the game plan was try and find magical fake space on the edges.

Hansen won in 2015 and well done that man, but he should have been gone by 2019.

And then his deputy (Foster) who was involved in that selection process, gets the head coach gig and gives the captaincy to the bloke they benched for the biggest game in 4 years.

Such muddled up thinking from 2017 Lions tour onwards.

Na, EOYT 2016 is where Hansen started to slide.

England won't kick it out unless they have to and will contest the breakdown ferociously. I expect ABs to bring their maul to the party, especially if the weather continues like it is.

Have to give de Groot credit for getting into the Aussies at Eden Park. He fucking smashed some guy, and that Aussie got up and had a massive whinge to the ref. de Groot starting going "waa, waa, waa" and did that pantomimed wiping tears motion where you pinch you thumb and index finger and rotate them back and forth at the corner of your eye.

Now if he can do that to those fluffybunnies Genge and Sinckler ...

I reckon they go to work on Itoje. Start screaming and arm flapping...

Please God no! I hate Itoje's antics. Brilliant player, but utterly distasteful sportsman at times.

    Regardless of the team.

We owe these kunts a towelling.

    Into them like rabid dogs.

I want to see kapa o pango. Exocet clean outs, and Nigel’s in their debenture seats crying into their Pimms and Diet Coke.

    Let’s fucking have it.

Less exocet cleanouts. PSDT did one last week. Didn't work out too well.

I like Sotutu on the bench, along with Bower and Sami gives us some good ball carrying up front.

Only two issues with the starting XV, I would’ve started Sami and Reece.

As for the bench, not a huge fan of Nepo in that role. This is the second time ALB and Havili have been on bench together which means Ioane is moving to the wing at some point.

I'd prefer Reece swapped in for DH

TBH I can't understand both DH and ALB on the bench. An injury to a winger means we move our best centre to accommodate the bench.

Frizzel and Sotutu suggests they expect the backrow battle to be attritional. Scotty to move to lock around 50mins. The problem with that line of thought is his legs will surely be done playing at blindside?

Locking the scrum takes more out of your legs than playing 6. 6 is harder on the lungs.

If there are a lot of scrums early, then bringing Frizzell on, subbing off a lock and moving Barrett into the second row actually makes sense.

A reserve 9 who was launched out of the squad as yesterdays man and is now back in the squad.

Makes perfect sense to me. Fakatava getting injured reduced his options for the 3rd halfback role. Christie wasn't that flash last week & TJP grabbed his chance & did pretty well.

But hadn't Weber usurped him at some time this year? If I recall correctly?

I'll add, I wanna see them going backwards so hard, Johnny May (why do Poms and the Micks insist of referring themselves as Johnny etc?) packs on the blindside again.

Happy enough with that. Would not have DH and ALB on the bench though.

Think that’s the end for Akita just has not taken his chances.

Delighted for Telea. He did take his chance and gets a deserved start.

Akira is far too loose for England IMHO

The only one I would swap is David Havili for a winger. I would have Shaun Stevenson personally and cannot believe that he has not been picked for the Full AB's. That or Sevu Reece. Any body but DH. He has shown fuck all at this level. I hope to fuck Will Jordan get better for next year. I think ALB is just rusty and I rate him. Akira Ioane has so much promise. Cannot understand why he has not made the step up.

@canefan How is he too loose? He's been playing tight, close to the ruck all season, a role he is unfamiliar with as he is more of a wide running 6/8 which is more his game, and has done a decent job in there. Not fussed at the same time that Frizzell is there, and Sotutu also gets a reprieve, so I expect to see Ardie potentially spend a bit of time at 7, unless Sotutu doesn't come on at all.

I swear some people just complain for the sake of complaining on here lol. There's nothing wrong with the side. There's a couple of spots up for grabs heading into the WC, but compared to the shambles of a side we had in 2019, we're in a better place now than we were then, despite the people who want Fozzie to fail.
