I accidentally just saw some of the opening ceremony... the Qatari President, or Prince, or Head Executioner, or some shit - giving the welcome speech.
FFS... the interpreter was interpreting on the fly, and making a goddamn allah-damned hash of it. How difficult is it to prepare a pre-interpreted version for somebody to read confidently? Or at least provide a copy of the speech ahead of time, so at least SOME prep could be done.
