Windies are cooked. Young players in trying conditions and they have to play more than 20 overs each way.

If I was Cummins I'd be sending the message out: you've got until 6 overs after tea to get your 200 Smudge because we're bowling for a 3-day match here.

    lol fuck, the pre-christmas tradition

Aus win the toss in the first test, bat, score a million, and the other team already wants to go home.

this is just ugly as fuck. windies looking longingly at the Perth airport.

oh wait, i missed the best part of the tradition. Pre-game the local media talks up the wicket as being spicy (the old "green monster" was broken out on tuesday) and it so often works as teams get sucked in to bowling even if they win the toss.

Anyway, the windies suck. annoying cricket nerd scored 200. older annoying cricket autistic kid is closing in on it, and some guy named after a sex act will score a hundred soon.

    35 people are watching

Jesus Christ, just when I thought Steve Smith was a chance to only average in the high 50s like normal cricket legends not named Don Bradman he goes and gets an unbeaten double.

Average of 61.47 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NINE better than our boy KW.

What an annoyingly gifted and brilliant fuck he is.

The first class numbers don’t scream much……but the pedigree is there……

Then again Trevor Chappell played international cricket back in the day.

    The on drive.

But the nuts for some reason is reminiscent of Shiv...

Pitch must be a road. But 500 is still a fair clip in Test cricket. Well played.

Windies openers survive the day and TBH that was some quality fast bowling, so this pitch is no better 😉

Chanderpaul will be a walking bruise today. Nuts, back leg a couple of times. Chest. Arm. Needs to learn how to duck better.

Look at the Windies go !

Kraigg Braithwaite obviously didn’t watch highlights of the England/Pakistan test last night and perused footage of Geoffrey Boycott instead.

Is it just me, or is not enforcing the follow on just weird?

How long till stumps? And an overnight rest?

They're more behind than they scored in their first innings.

You're going to rest your bowlers for what? Two sessions? But they've got an overnight rest.

    Just comes across as sooky.

    I know, I know, VVS ...

And every time this happens, I ask this question n and Aussiewin anyway. Just seems to me to be the hard way.

I just thought the same. Why ?

Enforcing the follow on deflates the other team. I think it’s a powerful move.

I think they want the pitch to break up a bit more.

As is typical with a lot of recent Aussie pitches it's a bit of a road.
