Rumour has it that was a bit more a case of she wanted profile in the UK, he wanted profile in the US. And any physical interaction would have required her to be a bit more of a man. Or ideally an actual man. Its not just when driving he likes something huge & throbbing behind him.

For me there's a huge number of stars I struggle to warm to simply because they are rich, out of touch, usually dumb as a box of hair & now with social media we are exposed to their thoughts on everything.

So I see them perform, think "I love that guy!", then I read 4 of their tweets explaining how they have a sick new pair of limited edition converse that they are keeping box fresh for a special occasion & they just got their own fucking name tattooed on their forehead, but in Hindi, and they don't know much but they know vaccines will fuck your chakra's up & now I would like to see them have a double Michael Jones v Argentina to both knees. And arms if possible.

Its the curse of social media. I'd never actually heard Curtly Walsh, Courtney Ambrose, Joe Stanley or Graham Bachops thoughts on the Brexit so still assume they are gods. Wheras I have heard WAY too much from Ian Botham. If ever there was a guy who has had his mouth undo all the credit his body wrote its Beefy...

On the other end of the scale, I hated Ricky Ponting, post career the more I hear from him the more I admire the guy

Win win, she ended up on the UK version of X Factor or whatever & got s stack of good advertising contracts in the UK. Once she'd landed all that they had a tearful breakup. It astonishes me the degree to which people invest in famous peoples contracted relationships. Half my office is excited that Taylor Swift is helping Loki become Bond in exchange for everyone being cool she's fricking married to that hot model. Her & the hot model is a WAY better thing IMHO, but I guess theres less market in writing songs for teenage girls when they are mostly about scissoring & playing with each others boobs.

HUGE market in songs for 40 year old dudes tho'

With some it's just the way they look. It could be the scrawny look of Froome, the smirking look of Hooper or the sulky look of Tiger Woods. Other times it's their behaviour or media whoredom like Dawson (wind ups, moaning) or Ponting (complaining). Other times it is just because they are so bloody good that they've inflicted years of pain on your team - Ponting for one (again).

Then again some of the are just fluffybunnies.

                  Tendulkar.

Amazing batsman, phenomenal. But it's bizarre that I watched the guy for 20 years and have an incredibly neutral feeling about him when I have a pretty strong opinion on most international cricketers after a year or less.

Always got the feeling he held his personality back a lot. Don't blame him for that in his position, but he just had this vaguely nonoffensive inauthentic aura about him. Understanble given the pressure and profile but the guy never broke during his career. He just seemed permenantly stoic - never disappointed, never upset, never angry, never overly happy.

His book kind of peeled back the curtain a little confirming my suspicions - he was a lot more chippy, competitive and aggressive than he ever let on.

Never understood how someone so great had total ambivelance to the captaincy too.

Roger Federer - probably the best tennis player of all time but comes across (to me anyway) as a smug, conceited bellend.

Not just you Pooler. It's weird, his one handed backhand is a thing of sporting beauty, he is always charming, well mannered, shows good sportsmanship. But I cannot stand him. Maybe it was his "fashion range", or the little jog on the spot he does every time he wins a point, or maybe it's my groundless and irrational view that he would be sunk if the police ever got hold of his hard-drive.

Also, maybe due a lack of practice, is a poor losing captain interview post-match. The rare times I've seen it, his general tone is "we were shit" and almost never "they played really well and deserved it". Though really, that could be anyone here ;)

First noticed when I think the Clan (or Canes) played a really good game years ago to beat the Crusaders, and he basically didn't mention them at all. Sometimes the questioning doesn't go that way from the interview, but mostly seems to be him.
