Is the point of the thread guys you can't quite place your finger on why you don't like them...

You know the ones, they're great at their chosen discipline, they don't do or say anything particularly twattish and yet, and yet...

Guys like Quade, Ponting, Pocock etc all say and do twatrish things so it's easy to understand why they grind your gears.

As far as ABs Howlett I never really warmed too. Never quite knew why, the closest I could get is his overly smiley nature after scoring points. When he announced he was leaving after the WC in 2007 I wasn't too cut up about it. The guy was the leading try scorer and everything. Aucklander too.

Personality of a dial tone, which I'm not sure is either a defense mechanism for privacy, or just the fact he's a boring git (I've been told both).

Also, maybe due a lack of practice, is a poor losing captain interview post-match. The rare times I've seen it, his general tone is "we were shit" and almost never "they played really well and deserved it". Though really, that could be anyone here ;)

First noticed when I think the Clan (or Canes) played a really good game years ago to beat the Crusaders, and he basically didn't mention them at all. Sometimes the questioning doesn't go that way from the interview, but mostly seems to be him.

Gotta agree with all of what you say NTA, probably get a virtual beat down but stiff shit. Rueben Thorne for similar reasons although Richie obviously gets more respect for his play. Give me a speech by Anton Oliver or Jerry Collins any day.

Hansie Cronje......the dull personality, the eyebrows, the fact he was an average player, the cheating.......this genuinely pales into insignificance for the fact that he once raised his bat after being dismissed....not for a double ton, ton or even a fifty but for a score IN THE FUCKEN THIRTIES ?!?!?!?!?!

Cameron Smith - excellent league player and seems to be a good guy off the field from all those I know close to the Storm organisation, but I just can't stand him when he plays. Maybe it's the way he's hyped and then is a grub out on the field.

Mark Worthington - NBL player

John Eales - I was a fan of Burke and Gregan, but this guy just irritated me with his interviews and sour looks on his face. Perhaps it was the whole Qld, Brothers, Marist thing that I couldn't stand....

Marion Jones - before the drug scandal. She was the darling of track, I couldn't stand her and I was a great fan of the US track team, even the arrogant ones!

Marion Jones - before the drug scandal. She was the darling of track, I couldn't stand her and I was a great fan of the US track team, even the arrogant ones!

This may come as a shock, but based on his public persona I find Pocock to be an insufferable twat.

And it may be heretical for someone from Crosby Park to suggest it, but John Eales has the personality of roadkill. Nice guy but after 30 seconds you're looking for anyone else to chat to.

I find tennis boring so anyone who looks like they're enjoying themselves I'll prefer, but Tomic and Kyrgios could save a bus full of orphans on their way to adopt puppies and kittens from the pound and I'd still hate them. A mate's son went to school with Nick and says he was a fluffybunny back then too.

Once an opposing great retires I think we learn to appreciate their game more. No doubt Gregan was one of our greatest ever halfbacks, but there were still two seasons where Chris Whitaker was the best 9 in Australia and still got shafted.
