    True Romance
This has finally been released on BR with both the Theatrical and Directors Cut (uncut version). An all-star cast, great dialogue and plenty of violence. What's not to like? My favourite Tarantino-related movie.

5 eggplants out of 5 Elvis'

    So, so good.

Of all the terrific scenes it’s pretty hard to top this one.

Pretty amazing how these clowns live in some kind of weird year zero. Sigourney, Linda, Mila, Angelina etc etc were kicking arse on screen years before this plank of wood showed up.

She'd be a lot hotter if she didn't speak.

I mean it's so absurd. How about Charlie's Angels and the Bride from Kill Bill? It's like Christian Bale claiming he was the first Batman.

She should probably watch Alien as well

No offense intended dude, but you do seem to have rather pedestrian and sentimental taste in film.

That does not look like a movie I would ever watch.

It's a very good movie, with plenty of humour too.

Yeah it doesn't strike me as my kind of movie either so I'd just not watch it to realise it might well be good.

I must have recommended a stinker for you at some point mate for you to avoid a movie simply because I liked it 😁

I thought it was great. Probably not in the same class as Clueless, but still very good

I thought it was great too, and I watch all types of movies (although probably not some of the stinkers @Kruse deliberately watches or @Tim's too cool for school random 80s movies made for tax breaks). Sign swearing is hilarious.

    Should have remained 'lost'
90 mins of my life I'm never getting back
Woodward was the least wooden thing about it

    Don't hold back, Mike.... 😀

    Was it about incest?

    ##spoiler
I hadn't really thought about that. It could be if you see it that way, I guess. I saw it as about the strength of emotion in a single-child family and the child having psychic powers she used to destroy people - whether deliberately or not.
    ##endspoiler

In many ways the acting was secondary to the mood the film was generating. Simple story but the way the film was constructed, written and edited was astonishingly good - and makes you think.

    My take

    ##spoiler
Woodward diddled her, hence the trepidation about the door handle

The dogs (spirits) took the girl away to protect her from Woodward

Story was being retold in mixed up timeline, so missing girl & daughter were one and the same

Dogs (spirits) who saved her then did Woodward in as revenge
    ##endspoiler

Good take - I hadn't really thought of it that way. The reason I liked the film (aside from the high production values) was not only was it enjoyable, but had many interpretations rather than have it spoon-fed to you. IMHO, you can have just too many Spidermen-type movies.

    Without a doubt

Acting was too wooden for me

That’s why I never liked Stingray or Thunderbirds on TV.

You sir don't drink enough (which would surprise me), take enough illicit Central American Native trance substances, or remember the 80s.
